On entering the first room, it was clear that it needed a thorough refresh — both in terms of decor and cleanliness. There was a noticeable stale smell, and I began to experience itching, which I only tend to get in places where pets may have been. While I understand the hotel may have a no-pet policy, it might be worth reviewing how rooms are prepared to ensure all guests feel comfortable.
I was offered two alternative rooms. The second had a similar issue, but I eventually settled on the third, which was slightly better. The reception and concierge staff were helpful and accommodating throughout, which I appreciated. However, the room is ultimately what shapes your stay — and in this case, it unfortunately fell short. Regretfully, I won’t be returning.
