Dead bugs all in the room. The furnishings were old as well as the whole place. There was no one around and seemed deserted. I didn’t really feel safe staying there with just myself and my niece. Dimly lit.

What a fun place to stay. Built in the 1890s with beautiful Victorian architecture and charm. We enjoyed a walk around the gorgeous forest flanked lake. Tastefully has modern conveniences. Located near town. Highly recommend.

It is a beautiful mansion, full of history. Myra and Samantha were so friendly, attentive and kind. The walk around the small lake was refreshing and there were many fuzzy little goslings walking around. AC was great and the water pressure in the bathroom was very good. We were in The Chapel room. Very spacious. My only semi complaint was the bed was too firm for me, but I slept well. The only noises I heard were the birds chirping outside our window every morning. I would stay there again!

Oh my! What a special place.

What a treat. We first got the incredible history of the Mansion, a bit of a tour and then settled in to the Governor’s Suite. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room spacious and welcoming and the weekend breakfast was better than any restaurant will serve. We can’t say enough good things about this gem.
