This stay was overall great. The only negative thing to say is that the unit is on the ground level of a large shared home with multiple units. This made the noise level from above and next door a little disruptive. However, the host was quick to remedy the problems we encountered which were very few. I was pleasantly surprised with the availability of things in the home. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. The laundry room had laundry detergent, there was shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, extra heaters in the laundry room and they had good toilet paper which is rare lol. I would absolutely stay here again.

There’s a lot to like about this property. Close to the I-95 corridor, but in a quiet leafy area. Comfortable bed, great hang out/TV area, nicely equipped kitchen. Convenient to DC. Quite bright for a basement apartment, with views of the nearby woods. When there are people walking around upstairs, you can hear that, but it wasn’t too bad. We’ve stayed at other short term rentals in the area and found this one to be a good value.

We had a lovely stay at this property - truly an oasis in the city. The host was wonderful and incredibly accommodating by allowing us to check in early. The property description was accurate and listed clearly the presence of animals and multiple units at the property. None of these were issues for us. During our stay there were two dogs (the host's and another guest), both were well behaved and controlled. However, anyone who is very sensitive to sound may want to reconsider this property as dogs do bark, and because there are multiple units, noises travel. Thank you for a great stay!

All went well, check in was easy and space was clean and cozy. Great communication with the owner. Loved that our 18 year old had his own space at night with the extra room. Nice big and fully stocked kitchen since we cook all our own meals. The living room space was comfortable for all of us to just hang out. The view with the large windows was pretty and relaxing. Great find!!!

excellent stay

We had a great stay and would go back in a heartbeat. Lots of space, and everything was exactly as shown. We ate at the outside table and loved the view of trees and all the spring birdsong. We hiked to the stream and the kids played in the water. Easy trip to Mount Vernon and DC.

Urban Oasis Review

We rented this property with the intention of having our daughter stay with us, and perhaps our granddaughters stay with us. Unfortunately, various circumstances kept the guests to just the two of us. It is a large property for only two people, but very pleasant. My initial discomfort with staying in someone’s basement was short lived - once you are in the room you can hear occasional noise from upstairs, but not enough to be a concern. The path behind the house to the unit is well lit, and the view from the patio doors makes you feel quite secluded.

Beautiful, Clean, Comfortable, Quiet

This vrbo is lovely! Spacious, comfortable, clean. We had everything we needed. It’s also in a great location for day trips - we took several (east to Alexandria, north into DC, and west). Amy and Owen are great hosts - we mostly communicated with Amy, who was very responsive to our questions and requests both before and during our stay.
