The property was a little dingy and in need of repair.  Faucet did not work when turned to cold...dirty grout, etc.  It appeared that there was an attempt to disguise a room odor with an overpowering fragrance.  Still, I wouldn't be giving doing this bad review if it wasn't for a bad experience I had at breakfast.  I had arrived within a minute or two of closing time.  I started filling my plate when a staff person came in and started removing items in front of me - as if I was not there.  I understand rules are rules,  but this seemed unnecessarily harsh and inconsiderate to me.  Had this been handled better, I probably would have been more forgiving about other issues.  Instead, the experience motivated me to write this bad review.  It kind of ruined everything for me.  Note to management:  I realize it is hard to keep everything fixed, but at least train your staff to show respect to guests!  I do want to say that the check-in staff were superb.  I am a frequent visitor to Springfield, but I will not be returning to Greenstay.
