Casa independiente en las colinas de la campiña de Siena

El edificio fue originalmente un granero. Recientemente, el edificio ha sido completamente renovado y convertido en una vivienda.
La casa es independiente, situada a unos 50 metros de la casa grande donde vivimos propietarios. Están situadas alrededor de grandes jardines, una de las cuales se limitan a los huéspedes de la casa.
Nosotros, los dueños son una familia de cuatro que nos encontramos una pequeña granja. A la llegada de los invitados suelen ofrecer algunos de los productos típicos que producimos.
La casa está situada en las colinas de la campiña de Siena. A pocos kilómetros se encuentran las ciudades de San Rocco a Pilli, Sovicille y Rosia, donde se pueden encontrar supermercados, bancos, restaurantes y mucho más. Siena se encuentra a unos 7 km y se puede acceder en coche o en transporte público.

Beautiful house overlooking the hills. Lovely to just sit in the garden with a cuppa or a glass of wine in the evening. The house itself is spacious and comfortable....2 bathrooms very useful. Easy parking..car very much needed as a 10 minute drive to nearest supermarket and good to be able to visit some of the beautiful hill towns in the area. Emanuela was a friendly and welcoming host and the wine, olive oil and eggs were a welcome gift. Might be nice to have a little milk in the fridge and a few tea bags for that first cup of tea on arrival.

This was the best property for our entire Italy trip of 14 days. The property owners were nice and gave great information about the surrounding area. Everything from dining to sites to grocery stores. A great experience. Thank you for all you did!

Lovely house and location

We enjoyed our stay very much, perfect to relax in a silent surrounding with nice views. The family welcomed us very warmly and we truly felt at home. Clear recommendation :)

Wonderful

We had a wonderful time here. The family is so warm and friendly. The house is a converted barn that has been beautifully renovated. Very clean and comfortable and you have everything you need to cook your meals if you want. We really enjoyed our day trips to Volterra and Montepulciano, each about 1 hour drive.

Beauty in Tuscany

A superb Tuscan retreat

A beautiful property only 15 minutes from Siena. Emanuela was a brilliant host. We had everything we could need in the property and the views and location was superb. We managed to visit Siena, Florence, Pisa and several of the local towns and villages of the Sovicille area. Beware of the mosquitos in an evening, but you should also take great delight at seeing the bats and birds flitting about as the sun sets over the hills. A gorgeous property and a lovely welcome and overall stay. Thank you!

In Spite of the Weather, Tuscany is Wonderful

The house is a renovated barn, but you would never know it. The craftsmanship of the work is second to none. This is the best mattress we have ever had in a VRBO. Parking is literally just outside the front door. Photos are an accurate depiction of the property. The welcoming owners live in the house next door and are more than gracious hosts. We would stay there again if we return to the Siena area.

Beautiful, peaceful space with amazing views

The property was a little hard to find (they do need to update Google maps) but the written instructions eventually got us there. It was worth it. The place was well equipped, comfortable and quite beautiful. The apartment is close to the house but still private. It is about 15 minutes to Siena, but you will definitely need a car. Buses aren't close by. Shops and restaurants are a short drive. Definitely a great place to stay if you have a car. Would love to come back.

Perfect Stay in Tuscany

To begin, this was one the best homes we have had the luck and pleasure to experience. The small house felt like a home. Emanuela, Roberto, and their family were kind, welcoming, and helpful. Their farm and home are a life of love and exacting design and craftsmanship. The necessities are all short drives away; small towns and the larger communes provided learning, great food, history, and art. The stay was relaxing because of the care and attention to detail that the owners supplied in renovating what was once a small barn, including the personal addition of family antiques. Everything was made even better by the personable owners. The experience was both a joy and a welcomed reprieve from our time on the road.

Amazing Tuscan countryside cottage!!

Emanuela and family were great! When we arrived they gave us a tour of the property and explained everything we needed to know. Also provided goods from the farm i.e. wine, eggs and olive oil. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. Great central location for a visit to Tuscany. Parking was easy. We were 16 minutes tops from downtown Siena, and just about an hour from hilltowns like Volterra, Montelcino, Montepulciano and Pienza. There was even a neat Etruscan Necropolis to explore on the side of the road, just 6 minutes away. I would absolutely stay here again. Beautiful property and very kind owners!! 10/10

An idyllic piece of heaven in the Tuscan hills

If you're looking for the perfect home base for a few days in Tuscany then look no further. Emanuela and Roberto are wonderful hosts. They live next door and were very attentive to our needs without being the slightest bit intrusive. They shared a bottle of the wine and olive oil they produced and it was fabulous. English is not their first language but Emanuela made a valiant effort. We used a translation app on our phone when needed and it was great fun. The accommodation is spacious, authentically rustic and clean. It was renovated with great care and attention to detail. The views are spectacular and the location (about 15-20 minutes from Siena) made it easy to enjoy our day trips to places like Pisa, Val d'Orcia and Civita di Bagnoregio. We will not hesitate to stay again when we return to Tuscany. Thank you so much Emanuela and Roberto.

Our Trip to Tuscany

The picture of the farmhouse doesn't do the location justice after you see it in person.. it's a spectacular view! We arrived on a beautiful sunny day and were warmly welcomed by our hosts. After getting a quick tour of where we would be staying for the next week, we were pleasantly surprised by the kind gesture of homemade olive oil and wine left for us to have. Thank you! The location of this property is perfect for visiting the Tuscany countryside. Not only did we visit Siena on a few occasions, we also did day trips to Montepulciano, Cortona, Piensa and San Gimigagno. Our hosts gave us our space but also took time to answer our questions and make us feel welcome. We especially loved our conversations about all the delicious fruit they had growing in their yard! We will miss waking up to "Rusty" the rooster and seeing the chickens, rabbits and cats each day. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with the world.. this was the type of vacation we were hoping to have! Arrivederci Todd, Joy & Pauline

Wer eine ruhige gepflegte Unterkunft sucht, gerne auch mal zuhause kocht und die Nähe zu Siena schätzt, ist hier genau richtig. Die Vermieterin ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber auch rücksichtsvoll zurückhaltend. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und gut erholt!

Wunderbare Gastgeber, herrlicher Ort

Es ist einfach alles stimmig. Gleich bei der Ankunft erfreut die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber, die schöne Umgebung konnten wir aufgrund der späten Ankunft erst am nächsten Morgen sehen. Das Haus ist liebevoll und praktisch eingerichtet, der eigene Wein sehr lecker. Beim nächsten Mal würden wir länger bleiben.

Ein großartiges Erlebnis

Emanuela hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es war sauber und es ist komfortabel. Und vor allem ist es wunderschön. Der Garten hat auch bei heißem Wetter fast immer einen Schattenplatz. Insofern haben wir keinen Sonnenschirm vermisst. Ein Highlight ist der Grill, auf dem wir fast alle unsere Mahlzeiten zubereitet haben. Das, kombiniert mit dem wunderbaren Blick in das Tal und die angrenzenden Hügel, ist einfach fantastisch. Trotz der Nähe zum Haus der Vermieter, wird die Privatsphäre nie gestört. Auch die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten von Emanuelawie gutes eigenes Olivenöl, frisch gelegte Eier, selbst erzeugter Rotwein oder die wunderbaren Waschlotionen machen den Aufenthalt einfach zu einem großartigen Erlebnis. Dazu kommt noch die Nähe zu Sienna, zum Flußtal der Elsa, wo man auch toll baden kann. Viele andere Natur und Kulturerlebnisse liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir waren glücklich dort.

Tolles Haus in den Hügeln der Toskana

Sehr netter Empfang durch die Besitzerin, die uns direkt 5 frische Eier von den eigenen Hühnern, ein kleines Fläschchen Ölivenöl, von den eigenen Olivenbäumen und eine Flasche Wein überreichte. Das Haus war sehr schön, die Klimaanlage in den beiden Schlafzimmern Gold wert bei über 35 Grad Hitze. Einzige klitzekleine Kritikpunkte, für die Bestuhlung draußen gab es keine Sitzauflagen und es gab nur zwei von den gemütlichen Sitzliegen draußen. Aber das ist jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau. Also alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert und wir kommen auch wieder, wenn es uns wieder mal in die Toskana verschlagen sollte.
