This hotel gives new meaning to the word “budget”. No draws for clothes, tiny area for hanging anything, basic bathroom shower with a hole in the door instead of a handle, shower liquid soap dispenser but no wash cloth, no laundry service or laundromat nearby, the bed topper was stained and dirty underneath. I spent three nights sleeping on top of the covers, just in case. If you are taking a cruise, and need an overnight beforehand, maybe. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel to no one.

Pre cruise stay

Easy check in , friendly staff. Paid £6 for tea and coffee and a kettle for use in the room for which I am happy . However less happy about paper cups .

Lump of hair was in pillow. The hotel room smells. The staff was not friendly, can’t even leave a small carry on luggage for a few hours. Checkin was not until 3 pm and I was there at 1 pm.

The room was like a student accommodation.. very basic and no kettle facilities at the room. We asked for a kettle but no FREE tea bags, coffee sachets or no free milk.. The breakfast was too basic and is not worth £8.5 per person

The product is more basic than we expected given the price point (£105 for a double on a Saturday night in April). Overnight parking is £12 extra, kettle plus 2 coffee and teabag sachets and paper cups £6 extra. Surprised that shower cubicle emptied into the main room, ok for a couple but probably not suitable for just friends staying together. But room was clean, bed comfy and reception staff friendly. I dont think a room from a hotel chain can get more basic.

Like a hostel.

The people running it were very friendly on arrival. The rooms although feeling like a hostel were pretty clean. Unfortunately did not sleep well due to noise of the road and other people staying. Youths running up and down the hallways screaming their heads off at 3am obviously drunk or high. Wouldn’t stay again but was fine.

Hello. The check-in process was flawless starting with the email to pre check-in and concluding with our early arrival at the front desk where the staff took care of us quickly and efficiently which was appreciated since we had just flown in from Canada and were very tired. The rooms were clean, efficient and as described - closer to a dormitory room than a high end traditional hotel room - which was fine as we were only there for the one night prior to getting on to a cruise. The hotel is easily reached from the Southampton Central station, the cruise port and the Old Town.
