The room itself was not well maintained, the sink was blocked and the toilet and bath were stained. The pool had children’s swimming lessons all morning, despite the room information saying children were only allowed in the pool between 4 and 6 pm. There was a function on until midnight directly under our room which was very loud, and party goers sat outside our window drinking and smoking even after the event finished. When we rang the front desk about this after 11pm. They said they would help but it actually got louder! When we complained in the morning the duty manager did not seem to be interested and said there was an event on. Loud music and noise until 1:30am is not why we booked this hotel. We wanted to relax in a spa hotel!

Lovely hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. The pool and jacuzzi etc were fabulous and the receptionist on duty during my visit was super lovely. Amazing attention to detail in the room including a split bin to help recycle used packaging etc. Could perhaps have used and extra cover for the bed but otherwise a great room, great stay and great staff. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and great service. All in all a wonderful stay and I shall definitely be a returning guest.

My room was lovely, the event was very nice and the food was lovely. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. My only concern was that on arrival when I gave my name, the lady on reception read out my room number when there were other guests arriving and within earshot. This is a security issue so I would ask you to remind your staff not to do this, please! I am a friend of the team who organised the event and was disappointed to learn that they had to provide their own lighting as you do not set up the festoon lights until Christmas. They made the ambience of the room so I am astounded that you do not use them year round and think it was unfortunate that this could not be accommodated for a charity event.
