Family Beach Trip

Property is in a great location - pool and immediate beach access will be appreciated by everyone. Condo is super clean and has all the amenities one could need. Property manager was extremely prompt with responses and available when we had a minor issue with the VRBO app and needed access. Would recommend this beautiful beach rental!

Sweet South Padre Paradise

So grateful to have been blessed to make sweet Padre memories in the comfort of such a beautiful condo. We had more than we could ask for and views and location was breathtaking. We are so looking forward to returning to the beautiful beach next summer and feel it will be hard to find any place better to stay.

Unhappy with lack of promised amenities - wouldn't recommend

As experienced travelers we chose a higher priced rental to ensure we would have the amenities and comfort we wanted. We expected full transparency in the description of the property. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Not getting full disclosure that the property was under construction, or a complete and honest assessment of usability of amenities such as pool and balconies was unacceptable. We felt deceived and that we were offered a bait and switch. We contacted the management company with our concerns asking them to address the disappointing lack of promised amenities. We write this review after several attempts to resolve the situation with them. While the condo itself was lovely and well-suited to our larger group we were disappointed to not be able to enjoy amenities that were promised as part of our rental. The reality was that the pool was unavailable even though we had emailed the week before and the manager told us the pool was heated but the hot tub wouldn’t be available until midway through our stay. Upon checking in we saw a sign that both hot tub and pool were under construction and unavailable until mid-way through our stay. In reality neither pool nor hot tub were available during our week-long stay. We were also surprised that there was scaffolding all along our private balcony with workers on it 5 of the 7 days we were there. Not only was it unattractive, it also definitely compromised our privacy. It was discouraging that this was not disclosed beforehand. Also, we wanted to enjoy the balcony looking towards the bay for sunsets but at 6:30pm enormously bright safety lights came on and ruined sitting out to watch the darkening sky. We were three couples down from up north in February who wanted to enjoy as much outside time as possible. We were promised a heated swimming pool, hot tub, and beautiful views of both the gulf and bay. When there were so many rentals, we could have considered the perk of a private balcony and swimming pool/hot tub were primary reasons for choosing Condo del Sol. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy these things during our stay and never received advance warning or an apology or fair compensation for the lowered quality of our stay.

Fabulous

This whole experience was unbelievable. From the booking process and check in, to communicating with the owner, as well as the actual condo itself all exceeded expectations. The condo was immaculate and fit 11 of us very comfortably. The pool and hot tub were a hit with everyone in our group. Everything was walking distance and in a very nice neighborhood with very friendly people all around. We loved this trip and would highly recommend this condo if comfort, amazing views, and fabulous central location to everything including a simple walkway to the ocean are what you’re looking for in a trip.

Highly Recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The condo was immaculate, and so much room for the 10 of us! (grandparents, parents and 4 kids under 12). Plenty of bathrooms, the sheets were so soft and beds comfortable. Hand soap , body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms was a nice surprise. Plenty of paper towels and dish soap as well! The views from the balcony are incredible, it was so neat to be able to see the bay said and Gulf side. We watched fireworks from the balcony on Friday night! Easy access to the beach, the pool was plenty big for the kids, and nice and clean. You are able to walk to the main road to shops and restaurants, which we did several times. Just an overall superb condo and I would recommend it!

Gorgeous condo, great location!

Our family loved this spacious condo! Everything was clean, the location was incredible (we loved just walking from the condo out to the beach every morning), and the kitchen was well stocked with necessary items for cooking. We did have an issue with the door lock not working, but the host was quick to resolve that for us and was extremely communicative. One thing that I would improve is adding a TV to the bedroom that has a twin bed in it (everyone else had televisions, but my son did not - so he ended up falling asleep on the couch most nights), and providing pool balls for the amazing dining table that we discovered halfway through our vacation was actually a pool table. We will definitely be booking this condo again!

Perfect Family Getaway

Family of 10 stayed so comfortably! Property was beautiful and ideally located for beach and fireworks! Also, in walking distance of several restaurants and shops. I would absolutely love to stay there again.

This place was fantastic! Even though the outside was under renovations everything was great.

This place exceeded my expectations. The only negative criticism I can give is we had issues booking and had to rebook. There was some miscommunication for we got there. A couple of minor things but overall it was wonderful!

Family beach time

The condo was great. There was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Beautiful view of both the beach and the bay. Balcony was the perfect place to watch fireworks. Easy access to both the pool and the beach.

Better than the pictures

This property is better than the pictures. It sucks that the outside is under construction. It is a little rough looking driving up but the wow factor once you open the door just outweighs everything from outside. The property seems to have a limited number of condos so we had the pool to ourselves anytime we went down there. Loved that we had our own parking spot. The pool was shaded most of the day which was awesome. The maintenance man was around and very polite as well. I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to what it will look like after the upgrades.

South Padre

The condo inside was simply beautiful and exactly as described. It fit our large group perfectly and offered a bunch of space, so we could all enjoy being in the same area comfortably. The furniture and decor is gorgeous. The views are absolutely stunning and breathtaking no matter where you are in the condo, inside or outside, from sunrise to sunset. The location is within walking distance to so many great restaurants and fun shops. It was so convenient having all the kitchen set up, washer and drier, enough beds and baths for everyone, and even some games for the kids to play at night. The condo itself inside deserves a 5 out of 5 rating. Having a heads up on a few things would have been nice, though, as we booked months prior to travel. The downfalls were frustrating as the building itself was under construction all over with scaffolding, cables, ropes, among other things making it cumbersome, messy, and noisy. The pool and hot tub were not heated when we went and there wasn’t anyone working on it throughout our entire stay. We were notified of the pool and hot tub situation the night before we traveled but didn’t know there was construction going on at all. Having a big group of kids ranging all ages, this was a let down for them as well as the adults because we wanted to enjoy the pool, hot tub, and patio but didn’t get to. The owner was good with communicating once we made contact regarding these issues but would have appreciated knowing about it prior to travel. We most definitely would go back after these things are resolved as I’m positive this place is amazing aside from these issues that are out of the owner’s control.

Beautiful Property

This property was beautiful. It was big enough for the 10 people we had staying there and was beautifully furnished. Requests/questions we had were addressed very quickly. The location on the beach was great and just about everything was within walking distance. The deck was lovely to watch the sun rise and set. This may become our new family vacation spot.

Amazingly spacious penthouse

We loved this penthouse so much! There was more than enough space for all of our family… 3 rooms with king sized beds, one room with double queen beds, and an extra room with a twin. Everything was super modern and updated and well stocked (with the exception of beach gear, do bring your own). I was a little skeptical about having a side balcony view of the beach, but man was that balcony view amazing! First time I’ve every had a view of the bay and the beach all in one HUGE balcony! We also loved that all the rooms are tucked away by a wrap around hallway which keeps all the rooms nice and quiet even if others are awake and making noise in the main living area or kitchen. This was especially great for the younger kids that had earlier bed times! My family is already looking forward to renting this place again one day!

Beautiful big condo right on the beach

The condo is beautiful and really BIG with enough room for everyone. Amazing ocean and bay views from the living area and Kitchen. Big bedrooms with 4.5 baths made it easy for washing up after the beach. The condominium is small so you don’t have too many people around or at the pool/ hot tub. The penthouse deck/balcony is huge, you can see almost the entire island. This condo is awesome and we will definitely try to come back!
