Staff Service needs major improvement. When we first arrived at the hotel the manager told us he was on the phone with IT because their system was down and asked that we come back later to check in. No apologies for the inconvenience, no trying to accommodate us with beverages in their dining area or whatever. I watched and listened to him take his frustration out on the person he was on the phone with, something you shouldn’t allow your guests to see. Fortunately another receptionist stepped in and let us into our rooms and asked that we officially check in when their system was back up. Another major thumbs down is their breakfast service. One of the kitchen workers bringing out food to the buffet table kept getting in the way of guests. My daughter and I were scooping up food to put in our plates and the worker forced herself in to refill the trays instead of allowing us to finish scooping. I watched her do the same to others. She didn’t appear very friendly. The property and rooms are in good condition. But they weren’t well-kept. We reserved two rooms. The toilet in one room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. The Kleenex box only had one tissue with no spare box in the room. The thermostat wasn’t working in the second room, so there was no way to turn on the cool or warm air. Lucky the room temperature was fine or we would’ve asked for a different room. There were bugs in the hot tub. Guest bathroom in the lobby was filthy. Overall not an enjoyable stay.
