Shocking summer prices for that whole region, but this is one of the better-value lodgings. A nice setting, just enough away from, and an easy drive to, the center of Sisters. Three nights we reserved a Deluxe King room, but still, without an elevator we expected to be hauling our things up & down the indoor stairs, a bit difficult for us, but do-able. Upon arrival we asked, and the same room was available on the ground floor, same price, which made our stay So much easier. (Room DOES have far too many lights at night.) ALL of the staff were pleasant and welcoming, including Housekeeping who left us daily notes telling us they were aware of and respected our Do Not Disturb sign. Breakfast (6-10) was adequate, kept stocked by the Hostess. We appreciated the Raisin Bran flakes, granola, Corn Flakes and Instant Oatmeal. (MANY U.S. hotels now only offer extra-sugary cereals!)
Hot foods were an egg dish, meat, and the self-serve fresh waffle-maker. Good variety of milks, yogurts, almond "milk". Fresh fruit was a bit sparse with green bananas and a green orange. More fresh fruit variety, please (for that price!).
Comfortable bed. Amenities were nice. The swimming pool and hot tub were comfortable, clean and enjoyed. Everything about the Grandstay made our Birding Trips easier, and we would stay here again.
Suggestion: Sisters Saloon and Grill (open 'til 10p.m.). Go upstairs to see historic rooms and photos. All good food. Crispy Brussels Sprouts! Berry cobbler a la mode!
