This is an older but a very nice hotel. They have maintained it well. The lobby is spacious and impressive. From what we experienced, it is conveniently located. The buffet meals are expensive at $67 per person but we understand that Singapore is an expensive place. Overall a good experience

Every time I stay here the level of service drops! The service at the front desk is woeful. We arrived at check in and there was a single trainee (no badge or HI shirt…) who was utterly clueless - wouldn’t look at us, or answer a question directly. Poor social skills are one thing…but abandoning this poor chap alone was disgraceful and there’s no justification for it. Eventually a very stroppy ‘supervisor’ came out to sort out the mess. Room requests were ignored and she allocated a terrible room (regular stays allow us to know rooms to avoid). When I told her the room was unacceptable she rolled her eyes and miraculously found a better room. We stay here one/two times a year as the location is perfect. Frankly, it might be time for a change…am not sure how many more times I want to ‘go into battle’ after a thirteen hour flight!
