We loved our stay at the Lodge! We stayed over New Year’s with a group of 10, and the house was very clean and felt updated and modern while still being cozy. The views were beautiful! Everyone loved the kitchen and bathrooms and the Christmas tree and lights made the house feel especially cozy. We really appreciated the crib and toddler bed, as well as the strong Wi-Fi and sleds outside. Sledding down the hill and seeing the horses at the neighboring property was so fun. We didn’t explore much of the surrounding area, other than a quick 15-minute drive to King Pine for skiing. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely book again!

Beautiful private home

Beautiful home in private setting. Very clean home. Plenty of space for a family of 10 and 2 dogs. Spacious rooms and comfy beds. There was some stinky trash left in the basement, but number was provided for trash pick up if needed. There was limited supplies in home, like toilet paper, trash bags, etc but there are plenty of stores nearby to get supplies. Overall, a great stay! We really enjoyed seeing the horses in the barn below every morning when the sun rose. :)

Beautiful view of the mountains from the back porch. Great room has plenty of space for a large group. Bedrooms very comfortable and the upstairs bathroom is huge!

Great property/location let down by poor cleanliness and worn out furniture

Cleanliness - Seemed like the house was given a cursory sweep and not much else. Lots of dust, spiderwebs and a number dead bugs around the place. Furniture felt pretty grubby and based on the amount of dirt, crumbs and old food beneath the couches it seems like they have never been moved and the space properly cleaned. There were a lot of ants crawling around the kitchen sink and the trash barrel outside the kitchen door had a number of dirty diapers in it when we arrived. Property - One of the upstairs bedroom windows had been blown out and boarded up from the inside before we got there, not a big deal as things like this can happen but my issue with this was all of the glass shards left on the grass below, extremely dangerous with children staying at the house. As mentioned above most of the furniture felt pretty grubby, very worn out/torn. The bunk bed upstairs was dangerously wobbly and loose, pretty scary with kids in the house. The views and location are amazing but sadly let down by the issues noted above

Beautiful location/house, lacked cleanliness

Stayed with my family at this location. House was beautiful, good size for my family. Located in a quiet area with a nice view. Downfall of the trip , was the uncleanliness of the home. Upon arrival we noticed multiple LARGE cobwebs in the kitchen, specially above the cooking and sink area. There were dirty utensils that needed to be rewashed. The master bedroom walk in closet area had trash located on the floor, with a very disorganized closet filled with junk. (Could not avoid eye sore due to no closet door) The home advertises a finished basement with toys for kids to play with. Unfortunately we did not feel comfortable with sending our young children down there to play due to the mouse traps and feces scattered around it. We did reach out to management almost two weeks ago, and have yet to hear back from them.

Wonderful Girls' Weekend venue!

For the past 30 years, my 4 sisters and 2 best friends have been renting homes throughout New England. We all agree that this was one of the best! What we liked: 1. magnificent view 2. spacious home -- never bumping into each other & opportunities for quiet spaces. 3. large open concept gathering spaces 4. close proximity to shopping and recreation 5. the incredible darkness of the night sky--you can see forever into space! 6. the most magnificent antique stove -- what a beautiful piece of history! It would have been awesome to be able to try to cook on it. Thank you for not kicking such a beautiful piece to the curb. What we wished: 1. a better equipped kitchen; we really enjoy gourmet cooking and faced challenges with the cooking equipment. We managed just fine; I usually bring my own 'cooking kit' but didn't this time. We have found over the years that this is the only real challenge when renting properties. 2. the refrigerator had working lights--tough to see without frig lights. We tried to change out the bulbs to no avail. Again, minor issue. 3. wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful mountain lodge. God willing, we will return one day. Thank you.

Exactly like the Description!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the Lodge. The description was 100% accurate. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and 1 child and there still leftover room for more!! The location was private but close enough to everything you could want. The views were spectacular. We will definitely be back!

Amazing property with beautiful views.

What a wonderful property. Ideal for a family or a few friends looking to get away to enjoy skiing, hiking, shopping or to just sit back and enjoy the amazing view from this beautiful property. Great weekend away

The lodge

The house is located in Madison,NH. It’s spacious for a large group with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. It’s approximately ~25 min to Conway and about 1hr to Mt.Washington. Tons of options for hiking near by as well. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the house was poor. It was dusty, coffee maker and some dishes were dirty, there was old trash in the garage, etc. The pans provided are also not great quality and food sticks a lot. We reached out to the management team they said it will send someone but they never did.

Great Home and Location

We had a great time at the house. The open kitchen, dining, leisure space was fabulous. Nice WiFi and TV. The only issue was that the week was hot. The two freestanding bedroom ACs could did very little to cool even their small spaces. The one bedroom window AC managed to make some impact in that room. The rest of the house and bedrooms had fans which provided minimal relief. I would go back again, but not in the prime of summer.

Great House!!

We loved our stay at this beautiful house!! The house was large and allowed for our 3 families to eat together and all gather for games. The location was beautiful and the views were breathtaking! The house was cozy, had a great fireplace, grill, porch swing and was just perfect!!! Thanks so much!

Good for families but…

Pros: set up of the house was really good for families or a couple of small families. The great room and kitchen were great. We could all hang out together. The view was really nice and the deck was a good size. Cons: when we unlocked the door for the first time to the garage we were overwhelmed with the smell of trash left in the trash can. Then when we were checking out the house, we found that both toilets smelled horribly!! The downstairs toilet has a wooden toilet seat. That’s a little weird in a house that has a multitude of different people using it! The door that goes down to the garage from the house wouldn’t latch so cold air was coming in and we had to put things up against it to keep it closed. We found that the stairs on both stair cases were all different heights. My husband tripped the first couple of times taking the stairs. This could be dangerous for young children and older folks.

As described, but could use some regular TLC

It was fine, but I don't plan to returning because the home is not well maintained to my standards. However, nowhere in the listing say anything like pristine or well-maintained so lesson learned for me. It's such a beautiful home though - so much potential! The biggest issue: window screens have rips, so when we opened the windows one evening, we had all kinds of gnats in the house that congregated at the sink. It was incredibly disappointing to not be able to enjoy the cool fall mountain air. Example issues that adds up to poor maintenance/cleaning: ceiling fan clicking, first floor tub drain does not hold water (had to keep the water on for my children's bath in order to actually keep water in it), second floor whirlpool tub drain was completely non-operational, the light switches were visibly filthy with dark smudges, similarly the water dryer dials were filthy, tremendous amount of dust on the track lighting in kitchen, veg drawer in fridge broken, dog poop left around the fire pit, doors to master bedroom door and bedroom closest to top of stairs don't actually click in to close so if you have the windows open they just open up (super awkward if you are staying with non-family!), window tracks are absolutely filthy (dead bugs, dirt).

Spacious!

We (3single adults) enjoyed our stay - so much room! The lodge would work great for a family with children. Loved the beautiful, long dining table and comfy furniture on main floor. Lovely mountain view from the deck. Bedroom furnishings are plain, but we had everything we needed. Upstairs bathroom with laundry is huge (but we wished the vanity light had been mounted above the mirrors rather than close to the ceiling).

The Cabin

The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities and supplies we needed for our stay, along with many extra things like plenty of toys for kids. The home is about 1-1.5 hours away from Mt. Washington, which is perfect for a day trip with a scenic drive. It’s a great place for a family vacation and we hope to be back soon!
