This hotel is right outside the back of the church. A Pope once lived in it back in the 16th century. What is great is the location & convenience. There is a little noise from all the tourists walking buy, but not an issue when sleeping at night. It‘s a tiny place - i think it has 7 rooms, so don‘t expect much selection for breakfast. Sienna is beautiful and I will definitely stay here the next time I am in town.

We were in Siena for a short visit. The location right behind the Duomo was absolutely perfect! The apartment was extremely spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay!

As advertised. A pleasant stay. (Ask for the popes room 😉 one was born there). Nice traditional but upgraded use of a 1400s building. A bit loud outside so again ask for a soundproofed room. But right at the chapel so busy area.

The location is excellent, across a very small piazza from the steps of the Baptistery; essentially, it's behind the Duomo. Everything we wanted to see was in easy walking distance. From the window of our room (#4) we could see Basilica San Domenico in the distance. Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was good. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked well (important as temperatures were in the 80s). My only complaint--a small one--is that the shower in our room was an odd glass box at the foot of the bed; perfectly functional, and I suppose it had to go somewhere in a room that was otherwise hundreds of years old. Not really a problem so much as a quirk. We loved our stay, and would stay at Il Battistero again.
