Lovely home away from home

My family and I rented this place in March and in July, and both times we love our time on the Island in this suite. It is perfectly located, in a quiet corner but close to Sidney, it is clean and comfortable. It has everything you need to live cozy. Nobody bothers you, but if you need a support or have questions, the owner is always helpful. My family and I are planning to be back again.

Fantastic family time at the Flamingo

With an easy arrival and a welcoming environment, our stay at this VRBO was excellent. It’s only a couple minutes drive from the Victoria airport, which was really convenient for us, especially since our plane landed a few hours late.While not in walking distance to downtown Sydney, within five minutes we were easily parked at the waterfront with lots of access for our kids to run around, explore and play.On our last day, grandma forgot her glasses in the suite after we had packed up. Wendy went above and beyond to help return the glasses to us. We can’t thank her enough! We would happily stay here again :)

Cute place. Flamingo theme was fun. Very clean. Pull out couch bed had a memory foam mattress that very comfortable. Other beds in the unit were comfortable with nice linens. Responsive hosts. Location a very short drive into Sidney. There are foot sounds overhead but it was not bothersome or late at night.

This home is close to the ferry and airport. The amenities are as advertised, with bathroom, laundry and kitchenette. Could hear gentle feet above, but nothing disruptive. Our communication with the host was good, they even let us check in early.

Property was in a good location. Pretty spacious for the most part. Very small bathroom with no counter space. Lots of tripping hazards. No signs to watch your step. Not great for older people or for people with mobility issues. Did not appreciate the threat of being fined $500 for smoking on the public street. Having to clean the place after staying there was a new thing for us. Wash towels and strip the sheets etc. no working stove and no coffee maker unless you want a French press. No place to sit outside. Yard was quite unkept.

Surface cleaned but under beds and floor corners were neglected. It was cold and there was no instruction for tv. I would suggest she put down some carpets upstairs as use the noise of footsteps on wooden floors was annoying. Adequate is my word for her lodging.

Amazing location and host!

The place is clean, neat and perfect for our stay. Beds are so comfy. Location is great! Close to Victoria airport and Sidney Pier. It had everything we needed for our trip plus the host Wendy is very responsive. She let us checked in sooner and made our stay comfortable. Would definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Sweet Sidney

House was advertised, great communication from host. Location close to ferry, main motorway and pretty seaside town of Sidney was great. The room is underneath the house so you get a little noise from footsteps upstairs.
