I stayed at Birupaku before but in a different suite. They are all different and have unique characters. Clean, spacious, well equipped and best overall, it is convenient.
A very walkable distance from JR station, underground if you choose. Step outside, and you are basically in the middle of downtown Shizuoka. Surprisingly quiet even at night. If you are here for Hobby Square or tea shopping, they are all near by.
Only annoyance I found was the operation of the lights. Helpful if they are labeled.
BTW, for the size of room in Japan. Its a good value!
The place was nice. Good location. My grievance is that it was advertised as having a gym. Rather, they partner with a gym 7 min away that doesn’t open until 10am. This may not matter to everyone, but was a big problem for me and reason I would not stay again.
The team at Birupaku were wonderful, they went above and beyond to help me and my family and we had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely with a huge lounge and bathroom and location was fantastic.
It's more an apartment rather than a hotel as you're getting a little kitchen, large size bath/shower and it has a separate entrance (not like you'd go through a reception in traditional hotels)
We loved it, nice and cozy
The room was lovely! The decentralized style meant we were a little further from our planned activities, but it was nice! We had also planned on checking out around 8 and leaving our luggage at reception, but that doesn’t open until 8. Small issues though. Fun modern rooms!
I recently stayed at Birupaku l in Shizuoka, and it was a fantastic experience!
The location was very central, making it easy to explore the area. Lots of shops and restaurants around. The parking was included, which was a major plus, and it was conveniently close to the property.
The apartment itself was spotless, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the small kitchenette, which allowed for some home-cooked meals. The large screen TV projector was also a wonderful touch, perfect for unwinding in the evenings.
Check-in and check-out were seamless, making the stay hassle-free. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shizuoka!
Check in was smooth and even though the hotel was slightly further out from the reception, the hotel staff transported our baggage there for us. The staff were very lovely and kind. They even gave us ¥1000 coupons to use around the shopping district which we appreciated very much. Room was spacious and clean, with good amenities. Only issue we had was that the room we were in, the water could not maintain its pressure and heating; and it took a long time to fill up the bath tub. Other than that, we had a lovely stay in Shizuoka and will likely return again.
My stay booked was absolutely fantastic, exceeding all expectations. The accommodation was perfect, with impeccable service and comfort. I’d give it a full 5-star rating without hesitation!
Exceptional service, and beautifully appointed apartment. Spacious, and conveniently located. Only minor criticism would be the brightness of the room at night due to the convenience store lights across the street (and morning sunlight at 4am!). I would recommend some blockout blinds for the room as the only improvement.
