Surpassed all expectations
This large farmhouse was so spacious and full of personality! Spotlessly clean and child friendly with magnificent views, all the details really enhanced our stay. The pool, the yard, the landscaping and best of all the amazing farm tour, this house was perfect for our family getaway. Would highly recommend!

College Reunion
This house worked great for our annual college reunion. The pool really made it! The house was cool. Our kids loved exploring the farm and seeing the cows (and loved that they all had names!). Great stay.

State Track & Field Meet
The farmhouse was perfect for our family! A short drive to Seth Grove Stadium for the PIAA State Track and Field meet, I wish we would have found this property 3 years ago!! They have everything you need, fully stocked house, and Walmart is literally 4 minutes away for groceries. Our family hosted our athletes and coaches for a swim and a cookout after day 1 of competition and it was just what they needed to relax and prepare for day 2! Tons of space both indoors and outdoors for them to hangout and relax. The kitchen is huge with upsale appliances and a big island that was great for serving our athletes. Our only regrets are not getting to spend more time at the property and not finding this gem before our son's senior year and last PIAA State Meet. If our travels ever bring us this way again we would definitely stay here!

Relaxing get away
The house was very clean, roomy and homey. The kids enjoyed the pool and the adults enjoyed the jetted bath. Everything we needed was there, we only left for food and there are several places to eat within a few miles and a Walmart for anything you might forget. Carrie gave us a tour of the farm. She was very friendly and informative. We had 8 of us, ages 5 to 75, and we all had a great time!

Cousins getaway
Love, love, love this property. House is historic with original deep windows, plank work, doors etc. Very spacious- wonderful to have comfortable beds instead of pull out couches and bunks. Pool was refreshing and came complete with pool toys. Fire pit was beautiful. Wood is provided. We could see satellites passing overhead. The complimentary s'more basket was unexpected and delicious!
The house is an easy drive to Gettysburg. We highly recommend this house. Hope to visit again next year

Old home charm
This beautiful old house was very clean and comfortable to stay in. The landscaping is well maintained and helped it to feel like a private oasis, while still being on a cow farm. Keep that in mind though. The cows are right there, for those not used to country life and all of its smells. It was so fun for our kids to see the cows and to be able to get a tour was such a great bonus. The house in itself was an adventure for our kids. There were games and treats provided that were truly enjoyed and appreciated. We had such a wonderfully relaxing time. It is very apparent that there was a lot of effort and care put into making our stay the very best. It truly exceeded our expectations.

Family Fun
This property was very clean, beautifully decorated and updated. My family group included young children, teens, adults and a senior. We enjoyed the outdoor pool so very much! The kitchen is great and we had a campfire nearly every night. The landscaping on the property was gorgeous.
The smell from the digester on the other side of the barn was quite strong at times. I did wish there was a grab bar for the beautiful whirlpool tub.
All in all it was a wonderful place to spend quality time with each other!

Family of 8
We enjoyed our stay from the minute we got there until the minute we left. The hospitality from the owners was above and beyond what we expected.. The little touches they did really show that they cared about their guests. We loved how clean the property and the home was down to how clean and refreshing the pool was. Our kids enjoyed all the pool floats as well as the playground in the back of the home. Our children are already asking when we can come back. I highly recommend taking the tour of the farm. It was very informational, and our tour guide Carrie was absolutely amazing. You can tell how much she enjoys what she does and how much she cares for the cows. We are so thankful for the experience we had, like the kids we cannot wait to come back. Thank you, Amanda and Carrie

MDW at the milk house
We had such a wonderful stay at the milkhouse! The property and house are beautifully taken care of.
The outside space was such a lovely area to hang out at. The landscaping is gorgeous and clearly very well maintained. The playground, sandbox and pool were all a hit with our 2 year old. We had a great time swimming, the pool was extremely clean and there were toys and floats available for us to use. The pool is fenced into its own area with a privacy fence all the way around, making us feel very comfortable letting the kids play outside without worry that they could access the pool.
The house is baby-friendly. Our infant slept comfortably in the crib and there was a high chair available for us to use. Everything in the house is in new condition! We loved cooking in the kitchen and grilling on the patio. The beds were all comfortable and everything was extremely clean.
The most pleasant surprise of the weekend was the fact that we were staying on a dairy farm, and yet you’d never have known it! Tractors were driving around the farm but you didn’t hear a sound inside the house! Maybe it was just good luck, but we didn’t even notice the smells that often come along with farm life (though we were fully prepared that that could be the case when living next to cows!) our kids loved seeing the cows in their pens and watching the farm machinery work.
We truly enjoyed our weekend in Shippensburg!!
