"The sign said Quality. They forgot to add the "Bad" part. No one should take poverty this seriously. Unfortunately, due to my granddaughter's Austin college graduation and lack of rooms available, I had to take what was available. The lock on the door was very finicky and would take several attempts before actually opening the door. Once inside, it was clear that the room was inadequately lit. One freestanding lamp was lopsided and wanted to fall down if the sofa weren't holding it up. That didn't matter much in the long run because it was unplugged. The staff responded immediately with my concern about the door lock and the lamp not working. It was then that I discovered that that lamp didn't help much at all. I had to use a flashlight to see how soiled the carpet was and how dirty the walls were. The device for preventing the door from opening had been ripped out of the back of the door. I suppose at some time that someone had wanted to get into that room more than the occupant wanted to keep them out. The water pressure was excellent, and the hot water was quick and plentiful. The toilet was a very old model that was very low and quite difficult for an elderly person, that is as long as you ignore the old urine stains on the bowl. The restroom door was dirty and damaged while a towel rack had been ripped off the wall, and the ancient hair dryer was barely holding on. The linens appeared to be clean, but it was clear that the beds were not freshly made. and the clock didn'"
