We recently stayed at this property and, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing overall.To start, there were no check-in or check-out instructions provided, which made arrival confusing. Communication with the host was also lacking throughout our stay—the response time was very slow, and when we reached out with questions (including about a promised discount), we were ignored.The listing mentioned a 10% education discount that would be applied within 24 hours of check-in, but we never received it. When we followed up, we did not get a response.Cleanliness was another issue. The home did not feel well-maintained—there was noticeable dust in corners and countertops were not cleaned well. The internet connection was unreliable, which was a major inconvenience since we came expecting to get some work done.Additionally, the fireplaces did not work, which was a big reason we chose this property. We were really looking forward to enjoying a fire on the deck, and it was disappointing that this feature wasn’t functional.The driveway was extremely difficult to navigate—very steep, narrow, and with a sharp turn at the top. Even with a 4-wheel drive vehicle, we struggled to make it up and ended up parking at the bottom and walking most of the time. The hike up was strenuous and not ideal (or safe) for young children.That said, the property itself is beautiful and offers a lot of space, which we did appreciate.I wish we would have picked a different property.
