Despite the elegant appearance of the lobby, this is not more than a 3 star property. The room is poorly designed, with minimal storage space and only one hook for hanging (in the bathroom). The bathroom and closet share a sliding door so that both cannot be opened at the same time. Worst of all, at check-in we were notified that the climate control system is shut down during October, so we had to keep a window open. Even so, the room was too warm to sleep comfortably.

Hotel was located in a very convenient spot, just ~5min walk from the main Hongdae area. Because it isn't in the main Hongdae area, it was very quiet and easy to get to (not overly crowded). Our room was spacious and clean, and check-in was easy. One odd encounter we had was with the cleaning staff. We had the do not disturb sign on and left to grab some food. When we came back, we ran into the cleaning lady in the hallway, and asked if we could just have 1 towel. She said she would give us everything (towels, water, tissue etc) and carry it to our room for us. At first we told her we could carry it (our room was on the opposite end of the hall) but eventually let her walk with us. When we got to our room, she dropped a water bottle and told us she would get us a new one. We said it was fine (it wasn't broken or anything) but she kept insisting she would get us a new one. We didn't want her walking back and forth so we told her it was okay, we'll keep this one and she suddenly became expressionless and asked us (rough translation) "Do you confirm that you're rejecting my offer?". We said yes and she left. It wasn't a big incident but we just felt really confused and a bit creeped out.

NO CONTROL OF AIR CONDITIONING!!! It was set up by hotel at 25-26 C. Hot in daytime and summer. Staff cannot help at all with that issue. Room is lack of lights, quite of dark at night, only dim lights. Bath without shower curtain, water spreading everywhere High price but did not get what I paid for. Not recommended at all. Waste of money but not comfortable at all.

We love this hotel, and we have stayed several times. The rooms and facilities are well designed, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent. Close enough to the main Hongdae area, but set apart enough away from the noise and chaos that can ensue. We look forward to staying again the next time!

very moist. Asked to change bedding but the process was so difficult. second day friend couldn’t even get a blanket because they messed up and gave an extra pillow. when we went down to ask, they said they ran out of blankets. this is unacceptable. the saving grace is that the location was good
