Super mountain and lake views and nice hotel

We booked the Double Room, Lake View and the scenery was stunning - a view down the Urnersee toward Flüelen with panorama back to Ingenbohl; at sunrise and sunset with clouds hovering (or a chance rainbow we saw) it was spectacular. The view and quiet were relaxing, sitting on the balcony or in the room. Dinner and breakfast were good, staff were very helpful. We walked to see the sites and bought fresh cheese at the 24-hour self-serve shop 5 minutes away, after enjoying our 2-hour boat ride from Lucerne to reach there. Highly recommended if you value mountain air and scenery.

I give this place five star because of the location and The view. You would be facing an outstanding view of mountains and a lake in front of the property. To me this was most valuable part of this stay. The furniture furniture was dated but usable overall somewhat comfortable. We arrived very late and the staff was very nice to accommodated us. they checked us in even though they mentioned that the latest time to check in is 8:00 p.m. Breakfast was included which was great. We enjoyed having breakfast next to the lake and the mountain. You need to be aware that this place is not non-smoking. Our neighbor was a heavy smoker and we were getting somewhat irritated by that. You also need to be aware of mosquitoes since this place does not have air conditioning you end up leaving the doors and windows open in the summer so mosquitoes will have a good delicious dinner. Overall I was pretty happy with this day I will definitely come back.

Absolutely stunning views from room and restaurant. I stayed in the Naturhus, and my room was a little dated, but I was there for the lovely balcony overlooking the lake. If you want a more updated room, choose one in the main building.

Nice clean basic rooms. Beautiful views. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast with nice options. Beautiful views. Dining room for dinner. Food for dinner was not very good. I did not like that smoking is allowed on balconies in the rooms. Smoke kept coming into the room and since this property does not have a/c it was not pleasant.

Amazing View!

The view from this hotel is why you want to come here, and it does not disappoint. It is truly amazing! Staff was nice and check-in was easy but it is definitely a trek if you are wanting to explore Lucerne and use this as a home base. Without a car it is about a 1 hour trip via public transport. And Ubers/Taxis will run you north of $150 to/from Lucerne.

bathrooms had curtains which I'm not extremely fond of, but other than that the location was dreamlike and beautiful paths to walk... great location, confortable furniture. too soft for my liking but I know most people prefer soft mattresses, so I guess it's positive
