This was a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful cottage, very homey and comfortable. One bedroom with a queen bed and a second bedroom with a twin size, full laundry, fire pit, wrap around porch. Just great mountain views and a very clean place. The driveway is quite steep; don't attempt with a low vehicle. Crystal, the owner was extremely friendly and helpful! Highly recommended -- we will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful getaway! The mountain views, secluded cabin and cozy outdoor space were perfect. The cabin was spotless and our hosts were incredible communicators, making sure we had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were SO comfortable which always feels like a gamble when traveling so we were very pleased! We loved this location as it was close to several different town centers and we could do much exploring, shopping and hiking.

We had the most incredible stay at Crystal’s cottage—hands down the best VRBO we’ve ever booked! From the serene views to the cozy, beautifully kept home, every detail was thoughtfully designed to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The space was spotless, the close-out instructions were simple and easy to follow, and Crystal’s quick and friendly communication made everything stress-free from start to finish.The personal touches (waffle mix, games, puzzles, the coffee/tea station, and the super helpful welcome binder) truly made it feel like a home away from home. We left feeling refreshed and already can’t wait to return. Next time we’d love to bring our kids, and we’re even planning to send my parents here as an anniversary gift after they gifted us this stay. That’s how special this place is!The location is superb—it feels like a peaceful escape tucked away in nature, yet it’s still so convenient to hiking trails, restaurants, and grocery stores. It was the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility, making it easy to relax without ever feeling too far from anything we needed.Crystal and her family have created such a warm, inviting space, and we’re so grateful they shared it with us. A five-star experience in every way—we can’t recommend it enough!

Beautiful secluded get away!

This well-equipped, super clean property is a beautiful escape nestled in the mountains. Be aware that the access road and driveway to the property are gravel and quite a steep grade. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. We attended a wedding at the Vineyard at High Holly and this property was super convenient for that destination.

Mountain Getaway

Place was awesome. Very clean, more amenities than any other place we’ve stayed, and great views. Visited highlands, glen falls, dry falls, and Cullasaja falls. Would definitely recommend!

Great location, bring the right car

Great location for nearby state parks, and a cozy cottage with great views. Make sure to bring a car with 4WD or AWD so you can make it up the drive way.

Great cozy cabin

The cabin is so great! Extremely clean and just the right size! Cozy and decorated immaculately! The heater fire place in the living area was perfect for those low light evenings. Highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to it. But it’s VERY worth it for the views and privacy.

If you like beautiful mountain views, you will love this cottage. It is up a steep gravel one lane road. My large, two wheel drive SUV did okay with that but putting it in low gear helped a little more. You must go very slowly and watch for ruts and holes in the road. Thankfully, I never met another vehicle coming in the opposite direction as there are deep ruts on each side of the road. But the Fall colors were on full display and we did not want to leave. Beautifull cottage inside. Turning on the shower was a "challenge" as I had never seen a tub faucet turning on the shower that way. Visited mountain towns nearby and enjoyed every minute.
