The hotel now charges for parking, which they have never done before. They initially put me in an accessible room, and I am not handicapped. The shower in the accessible room was clogged, so the water was already to my ankles by the time I got in the shower. When I requested a room change, the front desk associate gave me the key card to a room that was currently occupied. Once I was switched to a vacant room the pillows were dirty, and the associate had only activated the key for one night even though my stay was longer. The same front desk associate that gave me a key card to someone else’s room had locked the automatic doors in the front of the hotel at night and I had to bang on the door to get his attention to unlock the door, since he was in the back room and not at his post at the front desk. In addition, there were only two elevators and one was out of service and the other was constantly shaking.

The room itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Parking was easy. The staff was friendly and very helpful.The reasons for my lower rating are: 1. Hotels com did not advise me that the hotel was pet friendly when I made the reservation. At check-in the staff told me they could not guarantee that no pets had been in the room. (This is a complaint against Hotels.com, not the hotel. 2. The main lobby and entry area were messy and unwelcoming including a bag of garbage outside the entry door. For $200 per night at a Hampton Inn the experience did not match the price or the hotel chain's reputation.

Absolutely shocked to turn up and find out that they had initiated pay for parking via a QR code with no warning. Even there web site still indicates free self parking. New parking regime had been in place for 10 days. Hotel in general was tired and not very clean.

I guess for a one night stay it was okay but I’ve stayed in other Hampton Inns where the accommodations were really nice, big fluffy pillows, the mattress was dreamy and the bathroom was very nice.
