Hotel Castelar was a good experience for me. Hotel location is central in the city and you can approach most of the places easily. Hotel stuff were friendly and helpful all the time. I had a good breakfast there as well. Interior architecture is very good in this hotel. Wooden table, wooden bed frame and lamination and also a beatufily wooden chair helped me feel I was in a superb hotel. The console to manage lights and calls also looked very unique and made me feel good about environment. I recommend this place to anybody want to have good experience for their stay.

Amazing jewel hidden in SP old Downtown. The woodwork in the lobby already announces what's to come. All the furniture in the room was indeed in perfect state of repair amazing woodwork so hars to find these days especially in Brazil. Larrge room with plenty of light quiet and relaxing all over. It is a simlle hotel becauae they have not jazzed it up around its authentic beauty like throwing a rug here and there and and keeping up with maintenance. However you get a comfortable room good night' sleep very nice and classy breakfast in beautiful room.

Overall I was pleased with the hotel, rooms were clean. The beds weren’t much, but comfortable enough. Breakfast was more than I expected. Staff was courteous and they kept an eye on who went into the elevators for security. The area around is a little sketchy, but never felt uneasy. Price was reasonable, especially for Carnaval. Would definitely stay again
