For what it is, it’s perfect. My only issue was the water didn’t get very hot in the mornings. Other than that, it has big rooms, comfortable beds and sheets, and a great location to downtown Sante Fe. Enjoy! And tell them to insulate their water pipes. LOL

Look - this isn’t the nicest hotel/motel in the world, but it’s certainly not the worst. It’s a B+ in my book. And considering how much less expensive it runs than everything around it, I would recommend staying here, for sure! Great location. And don’t miss the Chinese restaurant! It’s fantastic. :-)

El Sendero stands out among the options in downtown Santa Fe for being reasonably priced, while clean and modern. While the rooms are a little small, the beds are comfortable and the staff is fantastic. It's within a five minute walk of the downtown plaza and numerous restaurants, and about the small distance from Canyon Road, with the entry into the National Forest being about a 30 minute walk.

Older room but overall very clean and a lovely staff. Breakfast was great and vegetarian friendly. They have a little store with anything you might need for white sands including sleds you can borrow. It was also a very short drive to White sands or Lincoln forest with lots of food options in the area.
