Spacious room but parking is with additional fee

The parking was not free, even though stated as such on hotels.com (costed 10 €). Check-in was somewhat confusing as the girl, though being kind, did not say much unless I asked, but I later met a man who was very friendly and gave additional information. Wifi did not reach our room, so the children had to sit in the corridor. Room for 4 persons was spacious and clean and beds were comfortable. The village and its surroundings were beautiful. We stayed one night as we were passing through Spain by car.

Staff were very friendly, very nice location. I thought the man who checked us in could have been more helpful re parking our motorcycle. He said no parking in the square, unless you pay, but there was a parking area 5 minutes walk away. Infact, there was free parking for motorcycles in designated areas in the square, about 50 yards away.

Good hotel for a stopover

You will need your sat-nav to find this place, even then you could drive past and not know. It’s just off a typical Spanish square that comes alive at night,tables and available outside the hotel which has a bar and restaurant,didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment on that. The room we stayed in was a family room with a double and two singles with enough space to not feel cramped. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the room is also air conditioned for which there is no extra charge. The car park is a five minute walk away and is padlocked.

The bathroom was very old with no place to keep soap/shampoo etc. The toilet seat was in poor shape and shower head was squinting water all over the place. The parking was a challenge. There was no iron but the staff ironed my clothes.

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was basic but most certainly adequate. There were no glasses in the room for drinking water and we had to ask downstairs in the restaurant for these; we were then only given two plastic cups, even though there were three of us. The restaurant food was very disappointing.

Great Location in a sleepy town

Location was a great touch base to the other towns in Costa Brava, the town is very quiet with few options of restaurants and activities (though there's a dancing evening in the main square, close to RFD hotel). Room was very nice, the only problem was the shower head that didn't work properly. Hotel is behind a church so you can expect the bells tolling 24hs. The breakfast, which we together with the room, was about $10 per day and it was the cheapest version of a continental breakfast, just a sandwich with either cheese or cold cuts and coffee and you couldn't repeat either so it was not worth, you could get better in one of the bakeries around.

This is only a 3 star hotel, however, it sits right in the centre of the village which is charming. We had a large room when you consider the boxes you get with new hotels.
