We stayed here on our honeymoon and were less than impressed. I picked this property because I thought it looked truly magical and it should’ve been a really special stay. But we were definitely very much underwhelmed. For starters they put us on the third floor, and the elevator only goes to the second floor. This meant navigating all of our luggage on narrow staircases. Even the elevator had a ramp of about 8 inches that you had to push the cart up to try to get your luggage to the second floor. They’re in Solvang and Solvang is all about the pastries, but not one could be found on their breakfast buffet. This was a huge disappointment as the bakeries were one of the absolute best things about Solvang and yet the breakfast buffet head, standard boring hotel, breakfast fair not showcasing any of them. When I checked in I told them that we had trouble parking and had parked a ways away on the street. They said that sounds great and didn’t bother to tell us there was a lot in back, That was actually much more convenient. Overall, the staff didn’t seem happy to be there or really care about their experience very much. Of all the hotels that we stayed at on our honeymoon this one was a thumbs down for us.

The staff and grounds people were super friendly and the hotel is adorable. It is a great location for walking the shops. My mom needed a bottom floor, so we called to request one and this was accommodated. My biggest complaint is the room. I will start by saying we were there over a rainy week. Not sure if it was due to the rain or not, but the room was musty and smelled horrible- like the drains needed cleaning. There was no fan in the bathroom making it even worse.

We had the opportunity to stay in this lovely little inn while attending a lacrosse tournament at the nearby polo fields, and the location could not have been more convenient. Upon arrival, the room was quaint, bright, and welcoming. We stayed in an upstairs corner room (Room 201) on the second floor, which was spacious and filled with natural light. The floor-to-ceiling windows facing the mountains were a highlight, bringing in lots of sunshine and making the room feel airy and open. The king-size bed was very comfortable, and the electric fireplace in the corner added a cozy touch. Parking was easy and accessible—you can walk straight from the parking lot up the stairs to the room, and there is also an elevator available. We did experience a minor issue with noise from the room above us late at night, as music and conversation were clearly audible around 2:00 a.m. However, once we reached out to the hotel staff via text, they responded immediately and kindly addressed the situation. The staff was extremely responsive and available 24/7, which we truly appreciated. Overall, the property is conveniently located, walkable, and felt very safe. A comfortable and pleasant stay, especially for anyone attending events in the area.

Staff was good, room was not so great. Upon arrival our room had windows open, the coffee table and chair were on the sofa, perhaps because the carpet in the area may have been treated recently. We moved the furniture off the sofa. The room seemed to be clean, but the furniture was in need of repair (coffee table) and the room could have used some paint touch up.

Walls are super thin we could hear every footstep outside and the conversations in the room next to us. My wife had a really weird experience at the Spa with the people running it. They had an aggressive/unfriendly dog in the office that was barking and growling at her. They only seemed to care about it when she tried to let the dog smell her hand and they warned her that its not friendly. Why would they even allow the dog to be around guests if its not friendly? They also had a hard time working their payment system and tried to make it seem like it was my wifes card being declined and payments werent going through. Overall just a weird and not very relaxing experience with this hotel.
