I thought the room was fine but my wife thought it was really small and dated. You could tell that the walls had been painted several times , but overall it looked clean and well maintained. I recommend getting a room on the pool side as the landscaping is actually pretty nice and very tropical and Lagoon like. Kids enjoyed the Ducks and the large koi fish in the pond. Breakfast was free and perfect for getting started in the day and not have to waste a lot of time looking for a place to eat. The location is really convenient. It's only about 5 minutes to downtown State Street santa Barbara and the free parking is a huge bonus. I've stayed at similar hotels that were converted into luxury properties with the exact same layout so I'm happy to have saved over $500 versus a comparable property. Personally I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again but next time I won't bring my wife!
