Great location at Alta, beautiful finishes and furnishings — but I can’t recommend this property.Mid-stay, staff entered our unit without meaningful notice while we were skiing and drained our hot tub, claiming the water was dirty and that we were responsible. As hot tub and pool owners ourselves, we understand that water can only be chemically corrected so many times before a full drain and fill is required — and when we spoke with the owner, Dan, he stated on a recorded call that the hot tub had not been drained or filled the entire season. Four months into a ski season without a drain and clean on a commercial hot tub is a serious health and safety concern. We filed a complaint with the state health department based on his own admission.When we escalated, Dan threatened to charge us a fee for the drain and fill rather than take accountability. Their attempt to offer us access at another location late in the evening was not a reasonable resolution. We also requested a modest late checkout — 1.5 hours — and were denied, leaving us scrambling with plans already made.One more thing worth knowing: the rental agreement you’re required to sign is presented only AFTER you pay, and it grants them the right to enter the property at any time.Beautiful spot, poorly managed, and the customer service from ownership was genuinely disappointing.
