The hotel itself was built to a high standard in the 90s/2000s and was recently refreshed. The breakfast was decent. BUT the hotel is not well managed. The staff was kind and responsive but maybe in over their heads. First, they couldn't find our fully paid reservation. Then they gave us keys to an already occupied room which was shocking for all involved when we walked in. Staff then offered me a ground floor room, the opposite of a mea culpa upgrade. Finally, we got a second floor room that smelled fresh and had made beds BUT the bathroom was dirty with hair in the sink, and a huge glob of hair over the tub drain. Just gross. The manager came up to "clean" it herself. We ran into her in the hallway and all she had with her was a spray bottle. No other products, nothing to scrub with, not even paper towels. I think she just removed the hair. The toilet had a ring within a day or two and those take time to grow, so that was never cleaned. We couldn't go barefoot on the carpet. It just wasn't clean. The beds were fresh and the room was large. The people are nice, but this place is not operated properly. I would not stay here again and am considering giving up on Best Westerns altogether. Corporate does not seem to quality control the franchises.
