We absolutely loved our stay! Its the perfect place to just take a breath and get away from the noise! Pablo was amazing! His personality makes you feel at home our morning conversations were refreshing. He's a great cook as well! Our casita was perfect! The rainforest was out one door and the ocean view out the next. Pablo was the consummate host. His gourmet breakfasts were the perfect way to start the day. The name certainly fits… it was the perfect place to relax and soak in the sights and sounds of the rainforest.

It’s a little bit of a drive from the San Juan airport but worth it. I will be finding excuses to visit Puerto Rico just so I can stay at the Serene House again!

Our stay at the Serene Bed-and-Breakfast House was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of the rainforest, the property was absolutely immaculate—peaceful, pristine, and surrounded by the beauty of nature. From the moment we arrived (very early for check-in!), Maribel and Pablo welcomed us with such warmth and kindness, instantly making us feel at home. The serenity of this place is unmatched. Falling asleep to the sounds of the coquí frogs and gentle rainfall was truly a dream. Each morning, they treat you to the most delicious breakfast—thoughtfully prepared and served with care. Every detail of our stay felt intentional and relaxing, and it’s clear that Maribel and Pablo genuinely care about creating a special experience for their guests. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful escape in nature with incredible hospitality.

Great and unique relaxing place to stay in Luquillo if you want to be away from touristy area and be close to nature and plan on hiking at El Yunque.

The property is beautiful, clean, and serene as the name says. It is located in a rural area but very close to the highway and El Yunque National Park. Maribel and Pablo were great hosts, treated us like family. Included breakfast and special dinner were outstanding. It is a very nice and cozy experience. Definitely will come back.

The hosts were excellent and accommodating. Delicious, fresh made breakfasts every morning. So quiet and peaceful…easy to disconnect and relax. The beach was only about a ten minute drive, the national park about 15-20 min drive, and 45 min or so to Old San Juan if you are interested in exploring. Perfect location, friendly staff…overall five stars from us!

Tranquility and Comfort in Puerto Rico

When you arrive here, you are treated like family. Pablo and Maribel are such warm, caring hosts and you feel at home right away. The big house is a work of art in and of itself with a tranquil pool outside and breeze filled common area where Pablo serves up both savory and sweet unique breakfasts every day. Our casita was private and very zen. Every detail was carefully attended to including artwork, lighting, shower, and outdoor access. All of this is tucked away in the beautiful hills away from the main towns in this region; yet very accessible to all the great activities including the beaches and rainforest. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else when coming to the eastern region of Puerto Rico. This was hands down the best bed and breakfast experience we have had in our 30 plus years of travel.

Maribel and Pablo were excellent host. The breakfast was off the chart. Communication was easy. Any recommendation they provided were on par! The pool was clean, clear and delightfully refreshing. Our room overlooked the pool, and it was extra convenient to take a short dip or eat a late lunch.

This B&B is new and very beautiful. The property is amazingly beautiful - on a mountain at the edge of the rain forest with stunning view of the mountain sides and the ocean. The owners have created a very peaceful and beautiful bed and breakfast. They live in the main house with a lovely pool. Breakfast is served in the main house and is quite nice. They have 6 new stand alone cottages along the mountain side. No mosquitos, very comfortable, sweet sounds of Puerto Rican frogs can be heard at night coming from the nearby forest. We loved it. Also highly recommend Sama Restaurant in nearby Luquillo for dinner or lunch.

Our stay at the Serene House was amazing! Pablo and Mirabel are amazing hosts and breakfast was some of our favorite meals in PR. Beautiful home and views and would recommend to anyone!
