An amazing property. The gardens and pool area are beautifully designed and gives you a very peaceful feeling enjoying the nature. The room was clean with plenty of amenities and a comfortable bed. The staff was kind and very helpful. We were given a dinner suggestion that was delicious and not far from the property. Very enjoyable stay and we would return, without question.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. Completely modern rooms with great ambiance. Pool area is great. The only downside is no staff on site. Need to arrange for staff to be there when you arrive to let you in and explain how it all works. This is problematic, otherwise a wonderful spot.

An excellent hotel Excellent staff that provides the best service. The hotel manager Maria is available and attentive to any problem at any hour. I will personally recommend this hotel. We went on vacation in Sicily and thanks to the hotel our vacation was amazing. Thank you very much for that

Away from the maddening crowd

Beautiful classy family run property Nice location in hills above Catania Friendly & helpful Very nice continental breakfast with home made pastries and cakes Recommended a nice restaurant in San Gregorio for a memorable dinner. They are building a swimming pool in their magnificent gardens. Off season price was a bargain. Highly recommended.

Our stay was short but we loved it. The ambience, the terrace, the garden - I loved everything. Free parking on the premises gave us peace of mind. I found the breakfast very good. I would stay there again.

Have to Stay here!

Bluff: I am an extensive world traveler who visits over 9 countries a year. If you are tired of the commercial hotels, hustle and bustle of big cities and want to go somewhere in Sicily where the owner personally ensures you are enjoying your stay and meticulously keeps his property? Look no further. This is by far the best of its kind. The grounds are impecable, the décor is incredible and the history of the hotel is amazing.

Bad Service in a poor located B&B

We were excited to stay in this B&B but unfortunately the experience was bad. We arrived and a friendly man greeted us but he did not speak spanish and had a very poor english so we couldnt get much out of him. He mentioned the owner Marilu will be helping us later that day. The property is aprox, 20 min drive to town. Travelling with a toddler that is not very practical nor for easy access to restaurants or anything. The pkace is beautiful but needs better cleaning and updates on room bed and bedding. They managed to help us with a bottle warmer but nobody was really availabe when we needed so we deicided to leave and stay in Taormina. And even when leaving we couldnt find anybody so we had to leave the keys to the owner’s relative thta was passing by. Unfortunately when we left our feedback to Marilu she took it badly and did not offered an apology just replied angrily justifying the bad service. I do not call that proper customer service from someone who make a living by receiving guest.....

What a shame - more shabby than chic

We really enjoyed this area of Sicily but were slightly disappointed with the B&B, Casa La Carrubazza. In summary; our bedroom needed redecorating, as there was excessive peeling paint on the bathroom walls and a filthy carpet at the bottom of the bed. There were a few odd hangers and sadly a poor mattress. I could not quite see why it was rated 4 stars. We would not return. I think you will find better. The property is beautiful but poorly executed service marred the experience.

An excellent choice

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the utmost courtesy. The staff was helpful in all respects. The room was lovely. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was modern, large and clean. The grounds are exceptional. The views exquisite. The breakfast had variety and was plentiful. Shouldf I decide to return to Sicily, I wouldn't hesitate in returning to this hotel again.
