I loved the breakfast and their choices of foods. I loved the Wednesday evening soup, salad, fruit and drinks. Pool could have been a little cleaner, but it was nice. This is my third visit to this hotel. It's separate bedroom is a big reason we keep coming back.

First of the room/suite is spacious, considering you have a separate kitchenette, a separate room with its own door for privacy and a living room area with a good size sofa bed, a chair and ottomon. Where do I begin…(first of all, I’ll a Hilton Honors member and stay at a different Homewood Suites location quite often and LOVE IT) We have been staying in hotels that offer bedroom suites where the bedroom and living room are separated by a door for more privacy. Booking was for 2 adults and 2 children PROPERTY: Felt very unsafe. Vagrants everywhere just staring, random people walking through parked vehicles all day/night. Walked out to cops apprehending a few people at the end of the building Ramp was available to get up the sidewalk to the side entrance but no ramp to get into the door, so lugging your wagon or cart was next to impossible unless you went through the front BREAKFAST: Very small area to accommodate a large amount of guests made it feel like we were ants crawling over each other in a colony choices were poor Some hot items were cold Milk and juices were offered in water dispensers so they were at room temp ROOM: Decent living room. Older TV. Pull out sofa bed Small for a 1 bedroom suite. Door hit the side of the bed as you opened and closed it. No way to close off the restroom and vanity from the rest of the room. Only 2 of each sized towel for a room booked for 4 people. The kitchen was galley-style and roomy but only had 2 pots, a can opener, two large prep knives, 8 butter knives, 2 spoons and 2 forks. 4 each of plates, coffee cups that were dirty, glasses and bowls. No internet for the 1st night! Very spotty the 2nd night. Never again here.

I would like to start out with the positive. Breakfast is SUPERB! This chain & location is always my preference when visiting San Antonio. This reservation has lots of amenities we enjoy as a family. Despite that I booked thru a third party, I've become accustomed to Hiltons high standard of cleanliness & room conditions. I've experienced this time & time again at this location, it's what brings me back. This was NOT the case this time. My kids were not able to use the pool as it is not clean. The room I was given is old/out dated with several tears on the carpet & the bedding (I would not use this in my own home). The room is mediocre clean. Even at check in it did not smell sanitized. The worse is the silverware. Simply unacceptable. I'm hoping this is an exception and not the new standard. I did no inform the front desk because I'm sure you guys are sold out being spring break weekend. Just when I thought things couldn’t get much worse, it did. My 6yr old found a live maggot as she was playing on the carpet!!! NEVER have i encountered this at any hotel stay. I wish I could up this video, did it come from dog feces or rotten food who knows but this should have been at the very least vacuumed. Laura Flores

Bathroom in room had a bad smell. Looked clean but it didn't smell clean. Light went out in our bathroom, advised front desk and was told that it MAY get fixed the next day. It was not. Other than those two events. Everything else was fine.

I've been visiting San Antonio a lot lately, this hotel has been the best so far. The rooms are comfortable for the 6 of us, although I wanted the 2 bedroom suite which was sold out. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Location was also perfect for us, close to utsa.
