It was a wonderful property, particularly for the week of Thanksgiving with the Dickens on Main festival taking place .3 mile away! We would absolutely stay there again!

A welcoming place to be

Everything about your stay will be wonderful. The home sits on a quiet street but is just minuets from everything. We can access I-10, down town,HEB, area restaurants and walking trails so easily. Come stay and feel at home.

Wonderful property!

Everything was exactly as described and more. The home easily accommodated our family of 8 and we loved the back patio. Very clean with all the comforts of home. We will definitely keep in mind for future stays in Boerne.

Very well kept and organized. Exceptional quality of all furnishings inside and out. Very welcoming, impeccably clean, and comfortable. Will use this property as a headquarter on all our trips to the south Texas area in the future.

Lovely home

The home is lovely. It was large enough to accommodate my extended family. The dining room table is large and was the scene of many gatherings. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and cooking pots of various sizes. The location is wonderful.

Three couples stayed 3 nights at Hawks' Roost in Boerne. We're long-time friends, all 70+ in age. This lovely home was 4-5 minutes from everything and everyone we wanted to see. The house had every amenity we needed. We highly recommend.

Extended stay

My husband and I stayed for 17 days, the house worked out great for us, we were gone during the day time doing activities with family or visiting the great little towns around Boerne but it was great to have a quite place to come back to at night. Chet was very quick to respond to any questions we had.

Truly like Home!

Beautiful, well-laid-out home! The house was wonderfully stocked. We wanted for nothing… it was all there! Beds were comfortable. Rooms were sizable (including bathrooms). The living area and outdoor deck were perfect for gathering as a group. Our group of 8 ranged in age from 9 months to 81 years old. Everyone had a great time! Will definitely book again if in the area.

Perfect Place for Us

We were so excited about finding this place when we had a last minute change of plans due to NM quarantine restrictions. Our girls (dogs) loved it there. Great back porch. Pantry and paper goods very well stocked. Owners went the extra mile to ensure it was cleaned thoroughly with all the COVID stuff. Owners are very proactive. Chet and Deby realized a breaker had been broken which impacted the A/C. Chet talked us thru how to reset it and we were back in business in no time. Thank you for a great relaxing stay!

**Nice Home with Thoughtful Touches, But Some Concerns**The house is overall very nice—clean, comfortable, and well-located in Boerne. There were some thoughtful details, like a welcome bottle of wine and a house guide with local recommendations and rules, which we appreciated.That said, there were a few issues worth noting:* One of the upstairs bedrooms was listed as having a queen bed, but it’s actually a full bed next to a pullout/daybed—so the listing was a bit misleading.* One upstairs bathroom didn’t have a working lock, which was inconvenient.* We found a couple of dead bugs in one of the upstairs bedrooms.Communication with the host was prompt, but the overall tone felt more transactional than hospitable. It’s a small but important part of the experience—and one that reminded us why many travelers still gravitate toward hotels for a more guest-centered feel.Additionally, we were required to pay a 95 hotel occupancy fee via Zelle *outside* of the VRBO platform before receiving the entry code. While this may be standard for the area, it felt unusual and a bit uncomfortable to send funds off-platform.All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but these details held it back from being a 5-star experience.

Great family weekend

House is perfect for a family weekend together. Our family has outgrown one house so we booked this for our family reunion. NIce place and fit our needs perfectly. Easy walk to Hauptstrasse and all of the activities there.

Perfect for family wedding!

We wanted a place where a couple of families could stay for a wedding and this place was so perfect. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The common spaces were great for multiple family members to sit and chat. The location was ideal for short walks to the downtown shops. The neighborhood was very quiet and the house tucked away. Tons of off street parking. Any questions were answered promptly by the owner. We would, absolutely, stay here again.
