The hotel is in a great location opposite the Mirabell Gardens and superb public transport is outside too with a direct service to and from the airport (bus no 2). The reception and breakfast staff are amazing and the Gluewien in the cafe is the best in Salzburg- we did extensive testing! The breakfast set us up for the day and was very good. All tastes are catered for with fresh eggs available to order. Some might say the room is small however it is more than adequate with big bed (extra pillows from reception) 2 chairs to and shower in the bathroom. It is not a modern character less hotel like a Travelodge or Premier Inn etc. there are fast food places nearby or wander for 5-10 minutes for great restaurants. Overall highly recommended.

The hotel is centrally located across from Mirabell Palace and a short walk to Old Town where Mozart’s birthplace is and a wonderful shopping area. We attended a Mozart dinner concert at the Fortress which overlooks Old Town. This was excellent. We took a taxi from the hotel and a funicular to complete the ascent. Returning we were able to easily walk back to our hotel. The hotel was clean and staff courteous and very helpful on getting around the area including complementary bus passes. Would definitely stay here again.
