Overall, this was a very nice place. The downfalls were that you had to carry your luggage up eight steps to get in the hotel then another flight of stairs to get to the elevator (upon arrival one of the staff helped with that, but the morning we left we had to carry the luggage down ourselves). and once you were off the elevator there were a few stairs to go down to get to the rooms. Our room had two bedrooms and they were very stuffy. You could open the windows but there was some sort of construction going on from the early morning. We didn’t spend the daytime in the room so that was okay for us. The staff was very friendly and a great plus was that each guest was given a free bus pass, which saved a lot of money on Ubers plus the bus stop was right across the street and the bus service took you throughout the city so it was extremely convenient.

The staff was friendly and very accommodating-there is a public transit stop just 2 minutes away on a major bus route that makes local travel really easy. There are two grocery stores within a couple blocks and a number of places to eat close by with a broad selections of local and international tastes. We had a room with two twin beds as I was traveling with my granddaughter - there are few hotels with that option- the room was small but comfortable and had an enclosed balcony-there is no refrigerator, microwave or air conditioning like in typical US hotels - but for Salzburg it was very pleasant and comfortable and I would very much recommend it

The staff were great! Very accommodating, rooms were cleans and the establishment was quiet. The place is 12 minute walk to old city. The grocer was just 3 minute walk from the hotel.

Wonderful stay for a Salzberg vacation

Friendly staff was the common point during our days here. Seamless check-in, but sticky on the 2pm incoming time. We were allowed to store our bags free while we toured. Walking distance to the Stiegl Brewery which has wonderful food to complement great beers. Bus day pass is about €4.50 and is within the ticket limits. Can take the bus from the Hbf but make sure you get the right direction (I messed up and had to jump off and re-route). There’s a bus ticket machine close to the hotel. 15 minute bus ride to main square from the hotel. Hope you get the Winchester mystery house room- it’s a blast.

The bus stop is right outside and the city centre a 10 min journey away. The area was quiet and really pretty. The staff were very helpful and gave us a bottle of fizz as a honeymoon gift, which was lovely!
