Hot tub cover rotted and broke in half when we moved it and wouldnt work. Half the lamps/ lights didnt function. Dirty dishes put up in cabinets and had to hand wash everything due to rusted out dishwasher. Rusty pots and pans, bring your own. All the beds were not made (upper bunks). Nails in driveway and cigarette butts everywhere even though its no smoking on property. Fan in master bedroom makes a horrible noise randomly when on. Only one TV functioning out of 2. Only 1 bedroom had tv. Screen door in front is totally missing glass out of the middle and door lock is difficult to get into.Best parts were the jetted tub and view. Thats it. It seems like they are trying to squeeze every dollar out of it without fixing anything. We would not rent this house again.

Victorian Dollhouse made me feel like Queen Victoria. This house has everything you could ever want or need. So comfortably accommodating! House is for sale and would buy if I were able to.

Winter break

Beautiful sunrises every day!! Just relaxed listening to ocean, completed puzzles, explored all villages and OBX. Great beach walks with dog owned the beaches, no one there!!!! Just too bad few restaurants open in winter down there!

A Spectacular View in a Wildlife Hotspot

The house was spotless when we arrived (though a bit outdated), and the view from the upper deck was tremendous. The kitchen was well-stocked for a week of cooking. Because we came in the off season, we often had our own private beach. We saw dolphins EVERY DAY, innumerable species of seabirds, and even a humpback whale slapping the sea in the far distance! The stargazing from the top deck was spectacular with many sightings of shooting stars. We had such a lovely week. I would highly recommend this stay.

Beautiful Getaway

Wonderful property and beach. Easy check in, and clean. Towels were provided which is wonderful, but they aren't a soft cotton. Bring towels. Great vacation, we would rent this house again..

Discourse with property management was untimely

Discourse with property management was untimely. Attempts were made to communicate with property management due to inclement weather. The property management did not respond until a couple days later, which was quite unhelpful given the circumstances. Flooding was forecast for the area, and much of the area did experience flooding, but once again, the property management was not responsive and thus, we decided not to go to the rental. We were hoping that the property management could give us an update on the conditions of the property and potentially the surrounding roads.

Be ready to walk!

Yes it's on the beach BUT you have to walk up dunes then down dunes then across dunes to just get to the water. Pack everything you want because I can't see returning to the house for anything once you're on that beach. Cute home, nice size rooms, nice quiet location, must drive to everything, Christmas time meant very few restaurants were open or with limited hours of service.

Can’t say satisfied

I will say it needs some TLC. The home had many nice assets like the location was nice, house was cute, roomy and comfortable but there were things that could have been better just with a little effort. I will list a few areas that were issues. The dish washer did not work properly, queen bed on bottom floor was very hard, wall plug in the main floor bathroom did not work, kitchen sink leaked, bugs in light fixtures, the grill was dirty and the out side trash cans were full from previous renters when we arrived. I gave all these issues to management I will assume they will fix.

Pros: Clean (except for dog hair) Direct path to the ocean Comfortable Beautiful views Plenty of space and beds Cons: Fees for cleaning when guests are expected to clean up after themselves Could benefit from more outdoor lighting More standard items like hairdryers, beach towels, beach chairs (foldable), tissues, coolers, etc. would be nice to have

Wonderful

House was beautiful and had a great layout! Neighborhood was quiet and safe for walking and bike riding. The beach was amazing. Perfect location not crowded- plenty of social distancing. We would definitely rent this property again.
