You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
Ruakaka Retreat, heavenly views.
Set just 4 km off state highway 1 up in the hills, this quiet unique free-standing cottage is the perfect get-away. Ruakaka beach is 6-7 minutes' drive and Whangarei is 25 minutes to the North and Waipu just 15 minutes' drive away, you have so much to do. Have a wander through the large garden area out front.
There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and there is a very comfortable fold out bed in the dining kitchen area also if required for extra guests. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, Air Fryer, Rice cooker and hot plate, with pot and pans for cooking. I also have some cooking basics also, Rice, Flour, Oats, Cooking oil etc,If you are staying for 3 days or more there is a washing machine / drier available (please ask if you require this).
There is wi-fi available and excellent Cell phone coverage also.
Feel free to wander around the property and take a walk along the (hardly any traffic) road, there are beautiful views everywhere, and it's worth a visit to Wilsons Dam, which supplies Whangarei with water.
I have two Sea Kayaks and life jackets available to use, but you will need a way to transport them or ask me and if I am around, I can help with this.
Feel free to ask if you need anything at all.

Love the lil cottage, the only thing I didnt like was the long gravel road to the cottage. Also theres no soap in the shower.

Hidden gem with reasonable price
We loved the location and the amazing view of Ruakaka beach from the house. It was very clean and the sofa bed was set up for us upon arrival. Good indoor space for us (2 adults and 1 kid) and there are great outdoor areas for exploring. All come with a very reasonable price tag during holiday season. Mark and his partner were very friendly and helpful.
