We found this property while looking for something to stay in for the holidays close to our family. This property is neat, clean and obviously the host has put a lot of work as well as love into caring for it. Alida is a great host who answers email promptly. I can't think of anything the place was lacking. Alida even included holiday decoration touches which we greatly appreciated. Though we did not need to use many of the amenities, as we spent most of our time at the family home, I was impressed with the fact that we could have been totally self sufficient if we had simply been vacationing on our own. The bed was very comfortable and all bedding and towels were so soft and cuddly! Hot water was great and plenty of it. Heat was more than sufficient. Standard toiletries were available in case we had forgotten anything. The garage was even available though we did not use it - but we could have if it had snowed. The only observation I have is that, being an older home, the flight of stairs to the second floor is not standard - the depth and rise of the individual steps is shorter than what is now the standard, but again that type of thing is common for an older structure. The neighborhood homes are close together, but that made no difference in any way. The area and neighbors are quiet. It borders an arboretum with a walking path which is a bonus. There is also a diner within walking distance and of course the amusement park, which was not open at this time of year. But when it is, I'm sure this would be an ideal place to stay in order to access the park. Thank you Alida for a comfortable and carefree stay!
