We checked in around 7 pm local time. The young woman who was supposed to be at the front desk, was not there at first. Then, she came out. She asked for a $250 deposit, to be returned after checkout. Quite high. Most other hotels ask for a deposit of $100. She then gave me a key, and said your room will be on this side, at the end, all the way to the back. I took our bags, and headed with the key to where she directed me. I had to walk, and walk, and walk for a long time. I wondered more than once if I was heading in the right direction. Finally, I arrived at the room's location. It felt more like a motel, than a hotel. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable, and the washroom was nice. However, the room was at the very edge of the back of the hotel. It did not have a microwave. My husband only drinks tea, and there were no tea pods, or tea bags. He also had no way to heating water on its own, and adding to some of the herbal teas we carry around. Overall, it was a good experience. The washroom was really nice, and we had some pretty nice showers. The beds were also super comfortable, and we did get good night sleeps. The rooms were clean, and the hotel was overall nice. We just wish we were in a room that was better equipped for us. We did pay over $200 for that one night, and we spent less than 10 hours there. Never made it to breakfast, as we had to leave before sunrise, to make it to Toronto before it gets dark.
