Romantic Hotels in Río Lagartos

"This hotel stands out as the best value I’ve seen after years of staying in mid to low range Mexican hotels. My room was the quietest I’ve had in Mexico, on the 2nd floor with a well furnished terrace looking out over the water. The room was bright and spotlessly clean. The two complaints I see the most of in reviews are: no hot water and uncomfortable pillows. NOT the case here! Super- comfortable bed and pillows, lots of hot water. A very nice continental breakfast with a thermos of coffee is brought to you on the terrace each morning by Sylvia or Roger, the very friendly management team. Roger arranged a boat tour for me with Ariel, an extremely knowledgeable licensed guide and naturalist; well worth doing."
