This was our second stay in a year’s time. If you don’t know what to expect, you may be surprised. It’s an old boarding school, so it has a cool factor. It feels like you’ve stepped back in time because everything looks original. The rooms are old but clean and have a bed, table, and sink. The bathrooms are down the hall, old but clean as well. It could really use some renovations. The location is great if you’re in the area because there aren’t many other options.
We were disappointed with breakfast this time. It’s open from 7-10. We got there at 9, and some of the options had run out, and the eggs were cold. Unfortunately, there’s nowhere around to get food, so bring your own. There’s a fridge in the common area where you can store perishables, or leave them in the car.
Some basic renovations would go a long way, and breakfast should be hot and plentiful.
Undecided if we would stay here again, probably only if we couldn’t get a room somewhere else.
