Sonoran Sky Resort is an elegant and complete destination to enjoy time in Rocky Point Mexico. In house restaurants, swim-up bars, gym and more are all available.

Sonoran Sky 1105 features astounding ocean views, and a cozy 1 bedroom suite perfect for 2 adults. There is also a queen sleeper sofa with Memory foam to accommodate 2 children as well. Located on a nice stretch of the Rocky Points active beachfront.
NOTE: The balcony BBQ do not work, there is a designated area on the 3rd floor for the use of charcoal grills and playground for small children. (Charcoal is not included, for sale at convenience store).

The room was spotless and temperature was perfect. Amazing view. Large TV in bedroom and living area get 2 channels. Sports and news. Sometimes a 3rd one. Front desk loaned us a Ryuku which was useful to a point. Bed was hard and creaky. Found out as we were leaving that the pillow top mattress was upside down so we had been sleeping on the bottom side the whole week. Restaurant had the most fantastic breakfasts selection. Great service. Best in Puerto Peñasco in my opinion. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Couples trip

Beautiful condo, great location. Check in was a breeze, even got to the room 2 hours early. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The only "negatives"- no pool towels available and bed was very firm. We just went and picked up our own pool towels. The firm bed was nice for me, but it took some getting used to by the wife. I highly recommend this condo and property.

Nice 11th floor condo

Nicely decorated and comfortable couch. Not a lot of kitchen supplies for cooking so bring your own. Plenty of dishes though.

Sonoran Sky 1105

Once we found the Sonoran Sky property (after a few detours and one unidentified street) the stay was perfect. Unit 1105 was very comfortable, reception staff was lovely and the pools were (a bit warm) but perfection for our required relaxation trip. We utilized the gym, we visited the pool bar and restaurant. Out of all the Sonoran resorts, I found this property to be the best.

The stay was great and the condo was very clean. The property beautiful. I would stay again. I only have a couple complaints: At check in the front desk clerk insisted that I provide the same CC that I used to book the room. I didn’t bring it, however, I had another one but still was told I had to have that specific one. Eventually she let me show her my bank account statement to prove it was my card. I travel with limited items in case I lose them. That CC was something I left at home 4 hours away. There seemed to be a plumbing problem as our room would randomly smell like sewer! I ended up spraying perfume and running hot water down all the drains. The COUCH… it looks so comfortable in the picture but no! When you sit down it sounds like you are sitting on plastic and doesn’t move, very stiff.

This was a nice place to stay while in Puerto Penasco. The room could use a few updates, but everything was very clean and contained everything you would need while staying there. We only stayed for a short weekend trip, but had we stayed longer, it would have been very beneficial to have the kitchen available. The resort has very nice pools and is right on the beach. Everybody working at the resort was extremely friendly and helpful for a first trip to Puerto Penasco.

Little things count

Clean unit - but very sterile. First time I’ve rented a Casado-managed unit. No toiletries, just 2 small bars of soap. No beach towels, but could have rented them for $2 per towel per day. No Kuerig but a very cheap drip coffee maker. No condiments (salt, pepper, etc). Not enough dishware - just a few very used melmac (?) plates. Minor complaints, but small details matter. The fees really add up! Also didn’t like the large ‘Casado’ logo in the middle of the patio sliding door. Overall, very clean but very frugal, next time I’ll look more closely and ask more questions before booking.

1105 Senoran Sky

The property was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Check in took about 2 minutes and the desk staff were friendly and helpful our whole stay. Easily a 10/10. One of the three pools is heated with about 25 seats at the swim up bar. Beach walks were really nice at low tide especially. The condo was very nice, the view from the balcony was awesome. It had a nice comfortable set of deck furniture. Regrettably we can’t give the condo itself a 10/10, there were some issues. We had a problem with the fridge that was fixed in short order, we had to figure out a “work around” for the microwave because several buttons didn’t work. The couch was very uncomfortable and the bed was too soft for our liking. You definitely need a car here as it is a ways from grocery stores etc. Taxis are supposed to be cheap in town, but they charge a flat $20 from the resort to town. We did hook up with Z the Taxi Driver who speaks English and a very good guy. We would definitely have no problem staying here again but would see about a different unit.
