We traveled to Mexico in October and had an exceptional stay at this resort. The property is stunning, with beautifully designed outdoor pools and a beach bar that became our favorite place to unwind. The level of service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The culinary experience truly exceeded expectations. After a fishing trip, the chef prepared the wahoo we caught three different ways over two days, each dish better than the last. One evening, they even fired up the pizza oven at the beach bar and served gourmet pizzas poolside, which felt both indulgent and effortlessly relaxed. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience were superb. We would absolutely return.

The grounds are beautiful.The room was spacious but lacked a microwave or coffee maker. When we requested a coffee maker, we were told that they weren't provided and room service was not available. However, house keeping and wait staff were always friendly and accommodating. During a downpour there were no umbrellas available for us to borrow from the front desk. We were left with a bit of our sour note when we asked for our friends to visit who were staying nearby and we were told they would each have to pay a large fee. We were hoping to get a group rate as there were 10 of us but we were told the rates were as is. The hotel stood out as not accommodating and trying to be exclusive which in turn isolated it from more business. It was unfortunate that our friends could not join us so we joined them. The area offers so much to do that we enjoyed the local restaurants, shops, and pubs. The Oxo across from the hotel was a bonus as well.

We did not see much staff to help you around. They put us on the third floor with no elevator, which it wasn't very nice view, but the music by the pool was on most of the day and it was very annoying and loud. I didn't like it at all. It seemed like no one is around. No phone in the room is very odd through has not been upgraded they did upgrade some of the grounds. I don't know it used to be better. It's not as good now, but the room was OK.

We were under the impression with a recent remodel it included the rooms. It did not. They are definitely antiquated. Old bedding, facets et. The phone never worked. The clock radio was in the drawer broken. We never got hot water to shower. It was only warm. Service was not good. There could be 6 workers standing around at the bar and you could wave your arm all you wanted and get no service. Only one day we got someone that recognized we would like something. The music they play in the morning is gentle and smooth but the rest of the day till almost midnight is just boom boom boom, boom boom don’t plan on an afternoon nap. When we booked, there was supposed to be a hammock on the balcony we never got one placed, even though we asked. The restaurant was super expensive was better to go out and walk the circle to get rolls and coffee or lunch and dinner at any given time there was no more than six people in the pool and we were there eight days I don’t know what’s going on there but it felt very peculiar. The locals are very upset with the restructuring. Any given night, we would walk the dolphin circle, and there were lots of people out eating music playing chatting. It was wonderful when we would go back to the hotel. It was completely dead and one night they shut off all of the pool lights everything so you could’ve broke your neck if you’ve been down there, but they shut them all off and boomed the music. It’s heavy male workers observing few vacationers.

It has seen better days and has great potential if updated but is showing signs of wear and age. Bed was uncomfortable (older spring type), had to ask for a bedside lamp(got an old ratty one), the jetted tub on balcony didn’t work and water at full hot is just warm enough to soak for 10 min maybe. The food was extremely overpriced and set mostly at $350 pesos per, $20 plus in USD, for anything- I wouldn’t stay again, go with an Airbnb instead.

My husband and I have been going to PA for well over a decade now - a couple of times a year and we just love it. It’s a little gem of a Spot. We already booked our trip to go back to this hotel in February with a group of friends. We had the best time and the staff was so attentive. We had a wonderful vacation and will be back soon.
