Whenever I stay in BH, I always stay at the Promenade Champagnat. Reliable, big rooms (kitchen, living room, bedroom), good breakfast, and cheap! Savassi is a hip neighborhood as well. Very close to a lot of great stuff.

Dissapointing

Not so good. The quality of service is very poor. The stalk us creaky nice but the hotel itself is not taken care of. The bathroom is one star. No soap ( just a tiny bar) , only shampoo, old towels and no hot water in the sink. The shower is a n electric device. Two stars because of the breakfast and location.

I won´t be back for sure

The hotel is old, bed was terrible, there was a bad smell in the room all time, the elevator was not working right, breakfast was always cold, eggs terrible too, it´s next to an school so you´ll hear boys screaming all time,very annoying if you want to work, door locks are old and sometimes difficult to open, hot water in the bath not always worked, internet connection was not good, there are plenty of hotels around with the same price and lots better. If there is anything positive I have to say about this hotel is that the girl in the front desk was always kind. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Very good but useless Internet :(

The hotel is in a great area, the staff was very friendly and the room is nice. The only really bad thing was that the Internet was really, really slow, I couldn't even send whatsapp text messages many times. Only at night the speed would be usable. I really hope they fix this because everything else is nice and without Internet it's not good for a business travel. The gym was usable, it just needs a bench, hope they add one.

Complete/spacious/affordable place in Savassi

This is a wonderful apartment-hotel in a lively neighborhood. In addition to a spacious apartment, the facilities also include a substantial breakfast, pool, gym,and even a squash court. The only drawback, according to my colleagues, is that they could hear noise from a nearby bar and church, either late at night or early in the morning so soundproofing could be an issue (though it did not affect me).

Smelly room, the place is located in between a school children gym all open with a roof and the noise starts at sevn am and ends at 8pm the other side is a school sports ground. i.e. very noisy all day long. Restaurant is in renovation, no food. etc etc.

Great hotel, incredibly convenient location. My only criticism was the hot water... didn't seem to want to get any warmer than luke warm in the shower. totally minor compared with everything else, all around pretty good.

Functional business stay

Like most BH hotels this is a little dated, however it is clean, the apartments quite roomy and functional, close to café strip and noted Savassi eating places. Breakfast fine, restaurant at night plain but good food. Staff very helpful, even with my poor Portuguese. Taxi rank out front so travel anywhere was painless. Most importantly the wifi worked (reasonably well). Stayed 6 nights so think this place is a keeper for next visit to BH.

Convenient Apart-hotel in Good Location

The Promenade chain has a number of apart-hotels in Belo Horizonte and Rio. My accommodation had a kitchen and living room, as well as a balcony, where I enjoyed people-watching and reading. Reception allowed me to borrow a laptop to check my email. The breakfast buffet had a wide assortment of fruits, breads and cakes, and several hot dishes that set me up for the morning, which I found convenient, because I usually had a late lunch. A number of good restaurants nearby, as well as one in the Champagnat itself. I will definitely go back to this hotel.

Very spacious rooms with a full size fridge and oven. It's almost like a business flat service. Clean room, good restaurant too. Check out was very slow but overall stay is valuable specially for the low cost.

Location, location, location!

This hotel is located in the Savassi neighborhood which is a fabulous location. All rooms are suites with kitchenettes, small living/dining room, bathroom and bedroom. The rooms haven't been updated for about 15 years, so the hotel feels older, but you get a lot of room for your money. The bed was really comfortable. And it was great to have a balcony to look out into the city. The cleaning supplies they use are really strong, but luckily the window in the bedroom and door to the balcony in the little living room both slide open so it's easy to air out the rooms. The staff are extremely friendly and there was always at least one staff who spoke English. It's not a glamorous or fancy hotel but you get a lot for a reasonable price and staff couldn't be friendlier and the location couldn't be better.
