We had problems with the heat in the house. A circuit breaker tripped after it was on for a short time. The kitchen was poor quality. The house was extremely damp and smelled very musty. Fire pit and hot tub were nice. The house was over priced considering the condition

Cabin stay
The cabin was beautiful and exactly what we expected from the photos. We had no complaints and communication was wonderful. The only thing I would note is the pet fee is $75 per dog that was not part of the listing until the house rules were sent 5 days before the stay.

Extremely disappointing!
Upon entering the house you can smell mold/mildew. There were mice droppings and mice eaten paper towels under the kitchen sink. There were roach feces coming out of the outlets everywhere! Those are the most pressing issues. There are no actual doors on any of the bedrooms. Two have “barn doors” and the other two have no doors at all. There is a large “peep hole” on the wall in one of the bedrooms. I got severely sick from the mold, mice and roaches from staying there for only 6 hours. After that, packed up the whole family and had to find a new place at the last minute. I then reached out to the host and asked for a refund and told her if we could settle it between us I would not leave a review. I wanted to give her a chance to remedy the house on her own. She agreed to give me a refund. The refund didn’t show up in a few days so I reached out to VRBO. She hadn’t issued it yet. They got her to issue it that day. Three days later VRBO called to tell me she was trying to take my money back!!!!! Words cannot express what a terrible experience this whole thing was. The house needs some serious renovation, exterminating and cleaning before it is safe to stay in. I cannot, in good conscious, say that this host has any care or concern for the well-being of others and seems to lack integrity.

Amazing more than you can ask for
It was amazing, they had more things on hand than expected. Was so kind and considerate about anything we communicated to Myla. We look forward to stay in another one of their places soon.

Long Holiday weekend
I cannot say enough about this beautiful property! It is very private although just a few miles from Summersville lake. It is about a 15 minute drive to Walmart and just a little further to the Lake. It is very conveniently located but you feel very secluded and serene. Morning coffee on the covered porch is a must! My family including 6 adults had a wonderful visit and enjoyed a beautiful long holiday weekend at the lake. We grilled every evening and loved the outdoor dining as well as the indoors! When you hate to leave you know it’s a great place! We look forward to returning soon!

Looks much better in the pictures
My family of 6 stayed here for our white water rafting trip. The cabin was nice, but left much to be desired from the photos in the listing. The cabin is VERY old, with a few new renovations that are featured in the photos. The new porch/deck, hot tub, swings, and fire pit were family favorites! No privacy... bedrooms either have no doors or have sliding barn doors that don't allow for much privacy. It seems this was a new(er) listing and/or new(er) hosts, and we left several suggestions for things that would improve the experience. With these few simple additions/changes, this would be a great place. It was just a short drive to the activities we planned, and it was a nice family get-away. And the ability to bring our fur-babies was much appreciated!
