Furnas es una parroquia rural, muy pintoresca, segura y tranquila, pero con establecimientos esenciales como supermercados, panadería, carnicería, fruterías, restaurantes, cafeterías, bares, farmacia, banco (ATM), alquiler de autos, entre otros. La casa está muy cerca de todo esto, la iglesia y los fabulosos parques y jardines, así como las calderas, permiten caminar.

Actividades y atracciones
Furnas es uno de los lugares de turismo y vacaciones más emblemáticos de la isla de São Miguel en las Azores, archipiélago considerado durante dos años consecutivos como el mejor destino ecológico de Europa. Es una parroquia paradisíaca, rodeada de montañas y muy cerca de Praia do Fogo (bandera azul), en la parroquia costera de Ribeira Quente (6 Km). Dentro de la ciudad hay fabulosos jardines y parques, las conocidas calderas, piscinas de agua caliente, aguas termales y varios restaurantes que sirven el famoso estofado de calderas. Cerca de la parroquia hay un campo de golf (5 km) y una hermosa laguna con numerosas atracciones (3 km). Desde Furnas puede realizar los más variados paseos, rutas de senderismo y observar paisajes inolvidables. Excelente para unas vacaciones de descanso y ocio en contacto con la naturaleza (campo y mar).

Truly an amazing piece of paradise! Felt like we were in our own private resort! Location can’t be beat! Shopping, restaurants, hot springs, hiking, golf all right there! Yet so peaceful and private! Very clean too! The hosts are stellar and made us feel so welcomed! I plan to come back to this same location someday soon! You won’t regret booking this one!

Lovely Stay! Book it!

The location was perfect! The home was so clean and relaxing. The garden...oh, the garden...was incredible. This was a perfect launching point for exploring Sao Miguel and a relaxing way to end each day's adventure. Susana was communicative and helpful. Her personal touches made an already impressive stay even better. If we ever go back, we will stay here again.

I couldn't have picked a better location. The hosts went above and beyond to see to our every need. The large garden has so many different spaces like a firepit, gazebo, outdoor dining, wood grill, laundry room and clothesline for fresh smelling clothes. We spent many relaxing moments outside and practically everything is walkable an I'm 80 yrs old

Adorable family home

The host and welcome gift were exceptional! The home was a nice, traditional family home and had a beautiful yard and was a short walk to everything in Furnas. We were there in March, and it was very cold and windy the day we arrived. We were able to move some space heaters around to get things warm. The space was larger than we needed for my two kids and I, and it would be perfect for smaller group like us or larger family. Thanks for a great stay!

Fantastic Find in Furnas

Host was very gracious, welcoming, quite responsive, and available. The grounds are beautiful and the unit is a short walk from shops, restaurants, and parks. A slight drawback was uneven heating in different areas though overall it was quite comfortable.

The house was great, especially the outdoor areas. Communication was easy and Susana was very friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect - lots to do in walking distance and Furnas was convent for driving to other parts of the island for day trips. Wonderful trip, highly recommend!

The best location in Furnas

I booked Villa Natura for our family of 4 adults and 3 children for a week in July 2024. It couldnt have been better. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the caldeiras, spa, shopping, restaurants and bars. The yard is beautifully maintained and the house is well stocked. Susana was always available to answer questions, and checked in to make sure everything was good.

Perfect in every way

Hosts are so wonderful and kind. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They gave us a hand guided, face to face tour and explanation of the property. We even got a welcome basket which was amazing. Our fav part was the garden and outdoor dining area. We spent much needed family time cooking and relaxing at this house. Would absolutely stay again.

Amazing stay in Furnas

This property was perfect. It is even more beautiful than the photos depict. The grounds are wonderful for relaxing after days out exploring. The awning over the patio table provides perfect protection from any passing rain. The laundry facilities were very handy. The interior of the house had everything we could possibly need and Susanna gave us a great tour of the property when we arrived along with a very thoughtful gift basket. She also checked in by text during our stay.The beds were comfortable and washrooms large enough for our group. We loved staying in Furnas.The village was so pretty and the Villa's locatiom was perfect walking distance to shops. Would 10000% recommend.

Fantastic stay!

The property is located in a fabulous area on Sao Miguel and has a beautiful garden and outdoor space to relax and enjoy the views of Furnas. Spectacular

Wow what an amazing place. Wonderful hosts that made us feel so welcome and a really authentic beautiful home surrounded by a beautiful garden and views of the surrounding mountains. We were so happy to have found this place to stay! Our 3 and 5 year old also loved it.

Excellent Rental!

Over the years we have rented numerous vacation properties in Europe and the US but Villa Natura ranks with the best. The hosts are very helpful and friendly; the property is top notch. Lovely garden; plenty of room for four adults; comfortable beds; well-equiped kitchen; good showers and heat/AC; and spotlessly clean. Furnas proved to be a good location for walking around, basic shopping; and sight seeing. Especially notable are the Terra Nostra Gardens and hot springs and for dining, the Terra Nostra Hotel restaurant. For island sites we liked Villa Franco De Campo; Ribeira Quinte; Ribeira Grande; the Tea Plantation; and Mosterios and everywhere, the lush and beautiful scenery.
