Spa amenities are amazing. Warm and spacious pools. Restaurant is great, both for dinner and the included breakfast. Staff are kind and helpful. The hotel staff and amenities were very nice . I do feel that the hotel and facilities could use an upgrade as paint was peeling and rooms seemed slightly dated. However this was overshadowed by the kind staff. Food was very good and breakfast buffet was very extensive and many options . Due to the thermal heat conditions , bugs: roaches (very small) may be encountered - I had 3 come up the drain in my shower but staff addressed it. We also had a plumbing issue (clogged shower drain in two rooms) for which the staff was very apologetic about and gave us extra treats like champagne and goodies. Overall a good stay. Beautiful park next door as well.

Absolutely phenomenal stay at the Octant that exceeded all expectations. The facilities in this hotel are top notch! From the spa, to the pools, to the restaurant and the bar... you can spend days there. Never mind how stunning the surrounding area is. Customer service is exceptional too. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Octant Furnas was simply amazing. The setting of being surrounded by garden made us feel super relaxed and was extremely peaceful. All the staff were super welcoming and attentive. There were many little touches that made our stay perfect. The pools were amazing. The room was super spacious, clean and conducive to great sleeps. We would definitely love to come back.

Amazing property and even better staff!

My wife and I stayed here with our 8-month old boy, and we were blown away at the service at this property. The service was above and beyond. They treated us like royalty - everything was ready for us when we arrived. If we needed anything, they responded immediately getting us what we needed. The cleanliness, the staff, the grounds, the pools, the spa, and the breakfast were all amazing! We truly can’t recommend this property enough. The only critiques I have are: the food prep at the restaurant was inconsistent. We had dinner there three times and were underwhelmed with some of the dishes and recommendations from staff. Finally, the bed was very, very firm and lacked support. I am a tall guy in my late 30s, but I had considerable pain waking up each morning. Since everyone has a different opinion on mattress comfort, I don’t want that fact to affect my rating, but it was by far the biggest issue I had at Octant Furnas. Overall, though, if we make it back to this island, we will definitely stay here again.

Property felt a little run down considering they bill themselves as 5 Star. Carpets were old and ripped in the main entrance, paint was chipped throughout the property, our room smelled very musty and curtains were broken. Beds were comfortable and staff were very pleasant.

Very friendly and attentive staff. One of the biggest and tastiest breakfast buffets I’ve seen *anywhere*. Only a five minute walk from the caldeiras. This is an excellent place to base yourself for explore the eastern half of the island.

The staff were wonderful. The facilities immaculate. The design in the rooms leaves something to be desired. Very small and dark /odd decor. Very clean, great sleeping conditions. Great experience all round. We started our honeymoon here before continuing to Ponta delgada. Wish we spent more time here! Staff very friendly and attentive. Loved the premises, pools and sauna. Spa hotel but poor food

A great spa hotel with excellent service but the dinner let itself down. The starters were just not great. The burger was excellent but the pork was dreadful so was sent back. Shame.
