The property which dates from 1740 has charm. I loved the photos of Pres. Eisenhower and his wife visiting in 1963 unfortunately, I don’t think the rooms have been remodeled since then. The bathroom was very old and the shower/tub was awful. Why only two stem glasses for the room and no cups in the bathroom? Also, why cram a tiny room that only has one queen bed with 4 chairs? Does hotel management think guests are going to have parties in the room (with the two glasses)?
I did the Express check-in the day before travel, offered by email(had booked room on Orbitz), but the front desk had no info on it, even though I got a confirmatory email and showed it to the friendly lady at the front desk. I don't know where the snafu was, perhaps with Orbitz. A spider or bug was found on the clean bed covers when we returned one of the afternoons after our day trip, which marred the room for my wife. Older property issues?.Kristin(sorry if I misspelt the name) was very helpful as was all the other staff. Thank You
We love the historic feel of the property. Rooms are clean and efficient. Classic historic stay with access to an excellent restaurant.
The Inn was very homey and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I wish we had arrived earlier to sample the restaurant. But the Continental Breakfast was excellent!

It was a pleasant stay. Clean and good night rest. Restaurant is right next door should you get hungry but check their hours.
Lodging is neat, clean, and the staff provides exceptional amenities while maintaining health requirements for COVID-19. The restaurant is amazing and has done an outstanding job creating an outside dining experience. Prices are very reasonable and I would recommend this business without question.

I would be interested in more detailed feedback about your bathtub/shower as we investigated and could not seem to find anything awful. If you care to elaborate please feel free to reach out to us directly. We offer two glasses in each room to reduce waste and help to eliminate plastic, but would have happily provided you with paper cups or additional stemware if you had asked. To ensure the comfort of all guests, we provide wingback seating for two, a desk chair and many rooms have an additional chair by the entry door. I am sorry if that seemed to clutter the room. The extra seating is not intended to encourage parties, however we do often host groups and large families and they appreciate the extra seating for visiting with each other. We also apologize that a pesky spider got into your room, this not a complaint that we often hear, please send our apologies to your wife. Yes, our property is older, built in the 1740's, and there are quirks and continuous maintenance to be done, but we value our guests and work tirelessly to serve with good old fashioned hospitality and we hope that you will visit us again soon!
