This hotel was amazing! The man at the front desk was super friendly and helped check me in super quick and also carried my bag up the stairs for me! The room was super clean and it was very spacious! Bathroom was just a tiny bit small but still comfortable; shower water had good pressure and got very hot! Location-wise I loved it! It’s a minute walk from Capela das Almas, a huge shopping center and various souvenir shops and eating options! Also very conveniently located about 5 min from the metro station! Overall this hotel was amazing and if I were to come back to Porto I would definitely stay here again!

The front desk staff is very pleasant and helpful. We were able to walk everywhere from here. The beautiful market is nearby. This property could use some upgrading in its common areas (e.g. replace grey carpet). One negative was that we chose to add on breakfast, and came down to piles of dirty dishes, no clean tables, and much of the food gone, so I would skip this option and find a local bakery.

Had a great stay at Decanting Porto House. Check in was easy and José was really helpful and very friendly. Suggested restaurants & directions to Ribeira. Our room was lovely, clean and very comfy. Decanting Porto is ideally situated, close to shopping good restaurants and easy to get to main attractions. Would recommend the hotel and Porto is a beautiful city to visit. Stayed 22-24 September.

Comfortable and reasonably priced hotel in Porto

Decanting is a nice modest place to stay. reasonable price, friendly, 24 hour desk, very pleasant healthy natural food type restaurant named 100 Culpa next door. 3 minute walk to Bolhau Metro station and 10 minute walk to Trindade Metro station. The early train to the airport leaves Trindade station at 5:58 am and arrives at airport in 35 minutes or so. It leaves from the first track (for some reason named Track 3!) which is about 50 ft from the front door so very easy access! Decanting is in an excellent location for walking around Porto. I walked out the hotel front door turned right and hiked to the river and a modern beautiful bridge over the Douro. From there east along the river road to downtown.Etc. Note: the hotel’s airport shuttle charges 30 Euros which motivated me to walk to Trindade Metro station.

We stored our luggage for several hours after checking-out. The staff are very helpful. Breakfast is good, but no hot dishes like sausage or scrambled eggs.

I cannot recommend this hotel. Although it was in a good location it was so basic that it was uncomfortable. The bed was terrible & the rug dirty & old. The electrical plugs were near the floor under a very small table attached to the wall. My husband had to lie on the floor to plug in all our electronics. The hooks in the VERY tiny bathroom were positioned so high & the towel rack so inaccessible that they were hard to use. The manager told me I should just throw them on the floor but when I did one day housekeeping never even came to our room. The only bright spots were the hot water, good shower pressure & the regular staff. On top of that they charged for breakfast.
