We arrived to a clean room with the most spectacular view of the Olympic mountains, the sound of the Elwha River, and a warm, cozy fireplace already flickering.

We had a wonderful stay in the Cedar room. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. They provide a white noise machine and earplugs, and for good reason, the walls aren't very thick, so you can hear the folks in the other room. 🙉We liked having our own bathroom. The fireplace was very cozy!

Located atbthe outskirt of olympic national forest.
At first this place might seem weird and confusing, but let me tell you, it’s worth the money.

Room was great, staff was great, but:
1. No TV
2. Walls and floors not sound proof, heard people above walking and talking, heard TV and/or music (bass) below. I guess that’s why they had ear plugs on a tray by the bed.
3. Location very remote, via pot-hole dirt roads, fortunately we arrived just before dark otherwise we would have missed the left turn (described as a fork).
Beautiful setting. Very nice chalet, well furnished rooms with a lovely great room. Staff was very communicative and directions on getting there seemed more complicated than they actually were. No issues getting there at all. Rooms were clean and bed was comfy and the balciny was great. The Alder room was as decribed and we could hear the river from our room. Fireplace was easy and functions just like an hvac unit control. Parking was ample and easy. Will say that the chalet is just that, a chalet, not a concrete hotel or resort, because I feel like people are expecting pure isolation. A chalet lives more like a house with a giant common room, so you will hear other guests and toilets and walking. But the owners provide ear plugs and a sound machine, and during quiet hours, it was very quiet. Birds chirped and deer nearby were very nice. Beautiful pine covered mountains right outside the windows. There are also no TVs in the room, so be prepared and bring a book, which was super welcome. Overall, a great stay, especially for a quick unwind. Wish I would have stayed a week.

Beautiful secluded location with view of the pine trees and mountains. Beautiful great room with cozy chairs for reading and watching the views by the fireplace.
We stayed in the main lodge on the second floor. The walls are thin and we were unable to sleep the second night when there was a party going on in the room upstairs.
This was in spite of ear plugs provided by the hotel.
The coffee maker was not clean when we arrived and the shower soap was almost empty. Sent a message to the owners but these items were not taken care of.
On the whole an average to poor experience.
Loved thus place, done really well and really nice hosts It was a great place to base out of two part two hike in the Olympic national park.

Wonderful beautiful place! We were nervous driving down long gravel road, not sure what to expect. Then deer everywhere and gorgeous scenery! Property manager lives onsite and very friendly and helpful. Such a pleasant beautiful place and the room was lovely!
Very organized employees! We Highly recommend!!!
The place itself is amazing - gives you the feel for living in the forest. The chalet decor is amazing, everything was clean and fresh. The 2 issues I have are, the narrow entrance driving up to the chalet which can only fit 1 car seems very dangerous - especially for a first time guest arriving late at night. Second is that the chalet walls are very thin. You can hear conversation, every footstep and toilet flush from other rooms. Maybe there is a way to soundproof the chalet. I think if soundproofing is done and if the entrance is made more safe to drive in the night - I think this is an amazing place that people should definitely check out.
